Bought a Canon Rebel T5i yesterday

Camera came today, and I have been messing around with it for the past few hours: Reading the manual, testing out settings, etc. Battery charged up fast, and prior to that I put in the class 10 32 GB card, and attached the nice wide strap. Camera is a lot bigger than my Sony. One thing I...

    Fenix HL30 Headlamp-200 Lumens

I use the headlamp nightly for reading to fall asleep. Use it on low, and it works quite well. I also use it at work with it being dark out for several hours before sunrise. I use the PD35 light though more at work, and I use it on the 850 turbo setting. Everyone that sees it at work thinks it...

Use of WAG bags and PETT potties

Very nice Cowboy. You could eliminate the toilet paper all the way and just include three seashells ;)

Bought a Canon Rebel T5i yesterday

Thanks Grog for the info. I later saw the one you bought when doing some more research today. I do not have big hands either, so hopefully the 5Ti fits me OK. Interesting on the remote control and the GPS unit. My old Sony came with a remote control to take shots up to many feet away, I guess...

Bought a Canon Rebel T5i yesterday

I have posted a few camera threads in the past, but never decided on what to get. My trusty Sony DH9 is getting a little old, and not taking as good of pics as it did when I first got it. Have been wanting to step up to a DLSR camera, so yesterday I read some reviews on DP, Amazon, and watched...

Corey's 2007 FJ Cruiser built for expedtion/overland, & daily driver

Used it for the first time today, very impressed with it. This was a long overdue mod, and well worth the expense of it. More text on YouTube.

    Solar or Generator

Not sure what you mean by the cheaper one, and it seems to be well built. Even the stock charge controller in it can handle AGM batteries according to what tech support there told me. I paid $165 for mine, and it came with a very nice case that is not included in the description. Mine will only...

Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

Ed, that is the way to hook up the solar. I hooked mine up that way when I got my Solar Blvd 100 watt kit awhile back. And isolator off when not powering anything. Not sure if the manual is online, but all of that info is in the paper manual.

    Nice little flashlight: Fenix PD-35

I bought this light a month back with a charger and four Panasonic 18650 batteries. I have several Surefire lights, the Fenix PD 35 blows them away. Having the five settings button is nice. Coworkers are amazed at the lumen output of this smallm pocket torch. I also have one of their...

Maggiolina Experts - does this look normal?

Mine was made March of 2008, and Mike shipped it to a local dealer/installer as soon as they came into him. I thought they were all designed this way. Very happy with mine though, and like I mentioned, nothing gets in from that small gap.

Maggiolina Experts - does this look normal?

I have mine all winterized now, I will not be opening it until around late March/early April to wash the sheets again and fluff the comforter out, and clean up any spider webs that get underneath the shell. Here are two pics of mine though from a few years back when opened up, and the zipper...

    100W Portable kit on ebay

Tech support at Solar Blvd informed me the stock charge controller is fine with an AGM battery like I have in my ArkPak.

Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

Yes, I was having issues with mine and I was sent another one. Transferred my battery to it and plugged in the charger and it worked like it should. I bought mine direct off of the USA online store. Sent the first one back in the new box, and UPS picked it up from me the next day.

Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

Nice to hear from you too Brett. Oz, I run an AGM battery in mine, and since getting the new replacement mine has been plugged into 110V power at home full time and never goes into alarm. The only time it was taken off the mains power charging it was when we had a power outage as seen earlier...

Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

Thanks for the clarification Brett, his does seem to be operating quite differently from my first ArkPak. It never got to the boost cycle like his is doing, mine was always going into alarm, and could never get the battery past 12.6 V or so. The new one works great!

    100W Portable kit on ebay

It is perfect for using with the ArkPak, that is what I bought mine for. My pics were missing earlier, folder did not gt moved to the new server a few weeks back, just re-uploaded them a few minutes ago, and they are in this thread again showing. I would go for either the 100 watt one I bought...

Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

JK, I am not using the Powerfilm 60 watt foldable panel, I am keeping that for charging up my FJs main battery that runs my ARB fridge when camped. I am using the 100 watt panel I got from Solar Blvd. for the ArkPak...
