    Maggolina on Trailer & Dust

Thanks! Hey All: Thanks for quick reponses - just the sort of information I was looking for. Mike S. - the gasket on our Maggiolina doesn't seem to close well - probably an effect of several thousand miles on top of the Tacoma. Do you sell replacement gaskets and are they easy to install...

    Maggolina on Trailer & Dust

Hello: We've used a roof-mounted Maggiolina on our Tacoma for several years. We're now considering mounting it on our M416 to get the weight lower & reduce air resistance at highway speeds. One anticipated drawback to a trailer mount is dust. Anyone with a trailer mounted Maggiolina have...

    Tacoma Fuel Storage

I'm using the metal NATO cans against the cab within the shell. I've had no leakage at all - even with the truck sitting closed up in the sun on a hot day. I've ocassionally slept within the shell after carrying the cans and never smelled fuel at all. I remove the cans (& other gear) when...

Roof rack, RTT, lightbars and mpg's

Depends Upon Speed Hoist: We run a Maggiolina on the cab of our 2004 Toyota DC Tacoma. The Maggiolina definitely decreases miles per gallon. The decrease depends upon the speed the truck is driven - between 65 to 75 I'd guess we see a 10 to 15% decrease in mpg, below 65 I'd guess about 10%...

    '04 DC Suspension Advice

255/85/16's. That would definitely effect how the fender was filled out, but I don't think it should affect what it would take to center the axle. Howard

    '04 DC Suspension Advice

Hello Tango: Interesting! I noticed from your signature line that you're in an extended cab while I'm in a double cab. That could account for the difference also. The take home message is that everyone ought to take measurements of their own set up to make sure they get the best results...

    '04 DC Suspension Advice

Backward or Forward Are you guys sure that you moved the axle back (rearward)? I'm pretty sure that I had Alcan move the locating pin forward by 1/2 to 5/8ths of an inch to center the axle in the rear fender well of my 2004 double cab. I just looked up Scott's old write up on the 255/85/16s...

    '04 DC Suspension Advice

Rear Springs - Axle Position Hello Guys: We're running Alcans on the rear of our DC 2004. They were great springs, but have settled under our loads and I'm looking for a replacement that is a better load-carrying spring - thinking about the OME Dakkars several of you have mentioned. When I...

Ritchey Titanium/Carbon Road Bike (complete with suitcase)

Great Bike I have a steel Ritchey Swiss-Cross bike that is basically the same frame geometry. It's the smoothest riding bike I've ever owned - I can't imagine how silky the ride must be on a titanium/carbon version. Someone will get a great bike. Howard
