Truck's Listed In Vehicle Classifieds
Hey Guys:
I've listed the truck over in the vehicle classifieds. Looking to trade for a late model DL 1000 (or maybe 650) Vstrom dual sport bike, if you know anyone who might be interested.

I'd like to trade a well setup '87 4runner Expedition truck for a late model, low mileage Vstrom. Prefer DL1000, but could be swayed by the right DL650. Trade could be straight across or added cash either way depending on mileage, year and farkles.

My wife and I have ridden tandems for many years. our mountain bike tandem is an Ellsworth Witness. We were lucky to find a pre-owned Witness that was well set up and available for a reasonable price. We had researched most of the mountain bike tandems available at the time and...
I'm glad you're happy with it. It served us well for several years and I'm glad it's back on a 1st generation 4runner!
Are you sure you don't want a roof rack.....:sombrero:

Hello Strizzo:
Do you mean the width across the body mount where it contacts the truck below the "cab"? I'm not selling the body mount frame (I'd have to patch up the body and take the interior of the truck apart to dismount it, etc.). I'm just selling the roof rack tray. I apologize for the...

You might avoid the SS or any other hard bottle if you ride on the road with large packs of other riders. Drop a SS bottle and have a rider behind you hit it and go down isn't a good situation. A plastic bottle can cause a crash but usually it flattens enough when hit to heep the bike up...
On the Roof!
As long as I remember to avoid low branches, I prefer carrying bikes up out of harms way....although it doesn't do much for fuel efficency!

Update Information & Dimensions
I've received several emails asking about dimensions (I guess no one wants to mount this on a real expedition vehicle like an '87 4runner :sombrero:), so I took some additional photos and added dimensions to them - see below.
While Kaymar apparently doesn't...

They've gone up in price ($25.00!) although I suppose that isn't much of an increase in 1973 dollars.....:)

Hello:
Way back in the '70s I bought several of these small sealed aluminum containers from Early Winters. EW listed them as Japanese food containers. They're great for organizing small stuff that you want to protect from moisture and/or getting crushed. They are similar to the Sigg boxes...

I'm not sure about the ease of plating a non OEM street legal bike in Arizona, but it can be a significant hassle and is becoming increasingly difficult in many areas. I would recommend sticking with a bike that has valid registration when you buy it, or at least has been registered...
