    Maggiolina Airland

With the new family member coming you might like the 1800 tent. It fits me(6'2"-260)my wife (5'6") and our 5 year old daughter perfectly. We each have a little bit of space to move around comfortably.

    Chiva Falls trail cleanup-Tucson-march 8th

Tucson Offroad is organizing a cleanup of the Chiva Falls trail for March 8th. Copper State Cruisers is collaborating with them on this and we would like some good participation. This is a cool trail and well used. Unfortunately it also gets trashed by people who don't care. I run this trail...

    RTT's and Rain

Martyn, is there more of a fly sheet than the one that covers the top and forms the door awnings? Speaking of Eezi-Awn.

    welding on truck?

Pull the ground off the battery if your concerned. I've done that and forgot to do it as well. Never had an issue. My buddies shop uses a special isolator he got off a Matco tool truck. It connects to both sides of the battery and protects against any potential problems. IIRC it was nearly $100...

Old run from 1987 on the Dusy Ershim Trail

Very cool Brad! Thanks for sharing. Someday I'd like to get over to Cal for a couple trails. Andrew P, how would a locked 80 on 35's and 4:88's handle that trail?

How big is to big for a tent

In my experience, tents are always under sized. Meaning if they say it's a 2 man, plan on being really cozy with your tent mate. So with that in mind I always shoot for bigger than the planned amount of people. I have a Sierra Designs Clip Flashlight thats supposed to be a 2man. NO WAY> Thats...

    Affordable solar panels!

I just spoke with the Tucson rep of Citizenre again. I asked if the company has secured funding and started construction on their facility. He said yes they have secured 650mil and have already started building, but he could not say where. He stated that they had an agreement with the governor...

The rock steps are the best part guys!! That trail is always in need of cleanup. I live near there and run it quite frequently and always haul out a lot of trash. Check out the Copper State Cruisers board on ih8mud. There is a tentative cleanup day of March 8th that Tucson Offroad is organizing...

    Affordable solar panels!

Well, a google search and 1 hour of reading later. I've learned that there is a lot of negativity asscoiated with this company. For one they have not even aquired funding to begin manufacture of their facility. That puts projected install dates well into 2009 if they start construction now...

Need Mac Advice: Help Scotty to the dark side...

Welcome to mac Scott! We've had 3 computers since 2000. The first was a pc and we had so many issues with it that I really just wanted to shoot it. Lived with it for 2 years then got an eMac desktop computer. fell in love with Mac after that. We did, however, have some bad ram which reared its...

Trailer MPG and tendency to flip

I ran a 4 day offroad trip last November with my new trailer and my 80. I used 31 gallons of fuel for 220 miles (thats 7mpg). It was 99% offroad and mostly in 4-lo. My rig is on 315's muds and 4.88 gears, 20 psi tires on the rig and 8psi on the trailer. I was getting between 11-13 mpg on the...

Another quality product from Sierra Expeditions

I got one of those from them a few months ago. It's been used twice now. Once on an LR3, and once on my rig. Works great. Thanks Will and Wen.

    Affordable solar panels!

Thanks for the reply. I'll be keeping an eye on it. Since they set your monthly fee and lock it, then I wouldn't have a problem if they sold excess power back to the utility. Sounds like thats what they do. If it was my own system, I would be selling that excess power back to the utility...
