Last weekend I was able to knock out fixing up the body work and finally got the Land Bruiser looking respectable. I mean it is a Toyota, so as good as it can be. LOL. At least it doesn't look like it just returned from war anymore.
Finally got done with Part 2 of Kanes Creek. We Finally Escape the trail at 10:30pm that night. 5 1/2 hours to go the distance on this one! Fun yet terrifying.

A couple weeks ago we took a weekend to hit a bunch of trails we have never been on, in and around Moab Utah. We used our beater FZJ80 land Cruiser and when it decided to die, we used the 2018 Ram on the other trails we wanted to go check out.
Our First adventure started here.....
Kane...
Kane Creek was not an easy trail and I was not prepared for the obstacles on it. Nevertheless, we had a blast....Part 1 see if we make it through unscathed in Part 2. Coming soon. Don't try this on 32" tires, you will get some body damage. I'd say 35" tall tires and lockers are a minimum...
I've been wanting go on this trail for a couple years. Last time I tried my Disco had a coolant hose crack and we decided to be safe and head back home. Forest Lake Trail in American Fork Canyon is a lot of fun, with some good obstacles.
I wouldn't say that. But I'm having fun, and that's what's important.
I will definitely own a 110 or 130 turbo diesel defender in my future. But for now, this is a fun truck. I just hate working on the engine. No room for my fat hands.
Alright took my first trip up to American Fork with this thing last weekend. Had a good time. Even though I didn't have working lockers and 35" tall tires, I made it up this trail pretty far. We did have to winch a lot at the top because we got high centered. But the truck did pretty well.
Got a bit more done. Just a bit more wiring to come though the mail. And I’ll be finished with this part. Then it’s undercarriage cleaning. And transmission and case fluids and axles.
We took our new Toyota Land Cruiser up Mineral Basin. Attempted to get to the top without lockers, since they are not working yet. Had a blast, hadn't been up there in years.

Took the ARB bumper off and installed my NWTI bumper off the other land cruiser. Stuck the ARB on the old one minus the winch.
Hid the solenoid behind the grill. It’s wireless so no need to hook up the controller.
13k winch with synthetic rope.
still need to wire up the lights.
Got some more accomplished. I cleaned the carpets as best as I could and installed some WRX seats from a Subaru in the front. They look much better and are a lot more comfortable.
Engine and engine bay was a disgusting mess.... The wiring harness was destroyed. Had to source a new one. I finally ended up getting one in American Fork Utah at a Japanese auto wrecker.
