Scored a rear Kelderman 4 link kit this weekend with what appears to have all hardware, brackets, air lines, sway bar, and bags.. The guy I bought it from cut off the top bag mount plate so he could reweld it higher which would have lowered the rear of his truck. He also cut out the axle mount...
`Truck is purchased and home now...
Next step is the first big purchase:
- Kelderman 4 link or Single link rear, still deciding. ( I did look at Liquid Springs, but the $17k, not including shipping, was the turn off for me)
- Kelderman single bags up front.
- Kelderman Compressor and air Dryer...
Just when I thought I had built a great setup to take me where I want to go comfortably, I got old... Time flies, tomorrow is not guaranteed and as I get older I want more creature comforts.
My 1st Build

My 2nd Build...
Well, It's that time of the 'life' again.
Starting a new build and selling the jeep and trailer as a pair.
Selling the jeep and trailer together. Still looks brand new...
$55k if anyone is interested. If you've watched my builds then you know I am taking a bath on this one. Ill put a more formal...
Just searched the forum and could not find it so I apologize if I missed it.
Does anyone have a lead on a Company that will make 'one off'/custom extrusions for FRP panels?
Thank you ahead of time...
With several trips under my belt now I am leaning toward building another trailer like my M416, but I was thinking of doing everything out of aluminum.
My trailer works great, just thinking all aluminum would be lighter and fun to work with in a project.
I would also build the tub portion 12...
Lift the tent up, put them under, then lift the tent down until there is slight pressure on the kayaks. Ensure your lid is 14 gauge and rhino lined to help with the bumps off-road...
Then add a strap the the front and one strap to the back and you are done. I also run a cable and padlock through...
All in my build... You're heading the right way, keep up the good work..

I did not worry about wire length and mine worked very well with zero binding..
I started out with the gas struts in the beginning of my build but they were a pain in the axe..
The linear actuators make it so much nicer.....

After 3 PM's asking where the lake is that I posted above, lol, posting location.
It is Diablo Lake off of the North Cascades highway (Washington State).
Definitely NOT secluded but an awesome colored lake to stop and paddle on....
There are some good spots along the river to camp as well.
I...
Glad I could help.
One thing I would change about the awning mounts is the height. When you make yours ensure you do not block the holes for the spring rod holes for your tent (If you are going to use a CVT tent).
The spring rods are the rods that hold up the window awnings on your tent...
Finished wiring my new control panel and the linear actuators. All done and works very well, should have done this to begin with...
M416 is ready for more trips......
Linear actuators in Motion:
Thank you,
I hope to have all the wiring done in the next few weeks. I just need a day of peace and quiet...
I hate doing things twice, but this box has more room and the linear actuators will make life a lot easier.
I am thinking about spraying the linear actuator motors with the black rubber...
There we go, that feels better. Also with the shape of this box versus my old one I can store alot more in it. Bam...
Now to finish wiring it....... If you want the old harbor freight one I had with the few holes in it PM (Private Message) me. I will not ship it, you need to pick it up locally...
After getting the linear actuators all mounted up I realized I need a new bezel to fit the switch for the actuators. That lead to building a new tongue box and so on... The box and the bezel both turned out pretty good. The switch bezel is 14 gauge aluminum and I built the tongue box out of 14...
Finished the mounts for the actuators over the weekend. All primed and painted waiting for install...... The threaded rod will get cut down to size once installed.

.
This weekend ended up getting the actuators painted, brackets almost made and rocker switch is ready to install.
Most importantly picked up a pie pan this weekend...
Should make some good headway next weekend...
