    Post your camp coffee setup

The GSI filter holder uses #4 filters. Pour very slowly for more flavor. Very easy cleanup. The stove (shown in the travel case) is their Gigapower auto stove. The primus kettle is the 1.5 L kettle. The .9 is too small for more than 1 person.

    Jackknifing on the trail

In tight situations, you'd be surprised how much just moving forward just a little bit and turn the wheel hard in the opposite direction will quickly straighten the trailer out. Then you can proceed to reverse again. This is much faster and more effective in tight spots than trying to correct...

    Anti gun legislation

That was very compelling testimony. My favorite part was the looks on the legislators' faces. She was speaking about the Luby's incident, right? That was in '91. The CHL (CCW) law wasn't passed in TX until '95. Until then, all I remember that we had was that you were allowed to carry in...

    Anti gun legislation

Actually, I think there is fear of the gun too...that's why there is so much legislation to restrict what you can and cannot own. Now there's discussion on limiting magazine capacity. On many weapons, there are already laws that prevent guns from having the ability to easily exchange a spent...

    Anti gun legislation

Sounds similar to the CB versus HAM discussion. I think this is the case because they feel that they are constantly having to defend that right. Just as the anti-gun establisment is afraid of guns, the pro-gun establishment is afraid that the right or rights (one at a time...as in Chicago)...

I think most people have already agreed with you. Almost everyone has chosen a blend and not a particular spice.

    Anti gun legislation

Scott, I think you're right, there is a serious division between the two camps in our society. The part I still cannot understand is the fear many have of those who legally and responsibly own firearms. Those who are afraid of gun owners should think carefully about what they are afraid of...

Squealing serpentine belt on 01 Montero

I don't believe there is a way to tighten the tensioner. It's a self-adjusting tensioner. I only use OEM belts, but when the weather gets cold mine will usually whine some. I use spray-on belt conditioner, and it will usually quiet the belt for a while.

Load D or E tires for expedition M101A1 trailer

I thought this type of construction was outdated, am I wrong? I got this from the BFG website: Here they describe their TriGard 3-ply polyester carcass construction. So, for the e-rated, are you saying there are 7 other plies they're not telling us about? Now, I could see that the E-rate...

Need gearing and locker info 3rg gen. montero

I didn't think it would make that much difference, but it did. I correct my Scangauge for the speed by 5%; i.e., my speedometer shows 5% faster than I'm actually traveling with the 4.9s and 33" tires (285/75/16). Skip the detroit style locker and get the ARB. If you're doing the gears, wait...
