    Got The French Press...

Let those in line do the grinding ;) I'm not sure that all that extra water is necessary. We always boil just a little bit extra water. It's usually still hot enough to just give a quick rinse. I probably don't use more than 8 oz of water to clean the press. First I dump the grounds, then...

Need gearing and locker info 3rg gen. montero

The cost wasn't that much. I purchased used diffs and we pulled the gears from those. Cost was only $600 more for the parts and maybe another hundred for the labor. Now, I'm with you on the TC gears, but that only helps when off-road. For me, the switch gave me more power after switching to...

Need gearing and locker info 3rg gen. montero

Get the ARB lockers, especially for the front. Sure, they cost more, but in the long run you'll be very happy with them. For 2001-2002 the XLS is geared lower than the Limited. I'm speaking about the R&P gears, but they have different transmissions; so, I think it's a wash if everything is...

Sometimes There Really Is A Free Lunch

Not exactly a free lunch. Now, while on the telephoto side of things, this looks to be quite impressive. You can reach even farther without giving up image quality or light-gathering abilities of the lens attached. What you do give up, though, are wider-angle shots. So, I'm curious what...

How do you prepare your Thanksgiving turkey?

Greenberg Turkey This is the best damned smoked turkey you'll ever experience. http://www.gobblegobble.com/ A little expensive, but worth it and the only effort is carving it up.

If I buy a p&s this might be the one.

Ywen, I'm not asking for a zoom; I'm simply asking for interchangeable. As I stated before, I'd be happy with the 35mm, a 50mm, and an 85mm. To be even more clear, I'm looking for prime lenses not zooms.

If I buy a p&s this might be the one.

Well, that's what I was hoping for ;) In all seriousness, does adding a mount for interchangeable lenses really necessitate a larger body or much more room between the sensor and lens mount? I still think this camera with one or two other lenses would make the ultimate travel kit. Leica seems...

If I buy a p&s this might be the one.

Wow, I love the aperture ring. I've really missed that feature on the newer pro zoom lenses. I love the look of it too...classic style. The viewfinder has been what a lot of higher-end P&S cameras have been missing; this is the case even with several Leicas, which is surprising. The only...

    HP Slate

I think you have to compare the 64GB WiFi iPad to the Slate, as the Slate appears to be shipping (per their website) with 64GB of memory. So, the price of the iPAD on Amazon is $787 as of today. The Slate=$799. And I think that's why the Slate appeals to some...it certainly has caught my...

    My Monty went puughhhh..

So, I'm curious if you've had the problem again or if it looks like the higher octane fuel is helping. It might be too early to tell as it's only been a few days. Are you still on this first tank of 91?

LRX emerges as Range Rover Evoque

Looks like they just want to compete in the BMW X5/ Porsche Cayenne market. If that helps them earn money to continue to make discoveries and defenders, then why not. If this is the direction they're taking all of their products, then I could see why people would disagree with the decision.

    Engel/ARB Fridge/Freezer Settings???

This has been my experience too. I load both my fridges (both Engel/ old ARB type) in TX and set them to 1.5. This seems to keep the inside to just above freezing regardless of my destination or elevation/ ambient temp.
