I don't have any specific knowledge about toxins, but I have to think that the gaskets were made for fuel or specifically kerosene. These are cheap enough that you should get water specific containers for potable water.

Really? I'm all ears. I had thought the Toyo MTs were highly regarded, with the drawbacks being a bit heavier (maybe 10 lbs.) and more expensive. I haven't heard many people complain about the MTs (I have heard of complaints about the A/T...I would be one of them too).

I don't know. $262/ tire for Toyo MTs with free shipping is the best price I've found so far. Discount doesn't even carry them. Now, their warranty would be better, but I'll take my chances.

Guys at tire shops know exactly how to get those off. It usually involves knocking a socket on there tight and an impact wrench, but it can be done. Although, the dealer you purchased it from should work with you to solve it too.
