The 'blue' is split loom to protect the wiring harness.
I am considering a few options for mounting the fender, weld nuts being one of them, cross that bridge when I get there.
The original red paint job ended up really orange pealed due to low pressure. Turns out my water separator was clogged.
So I had to sand it down and paint it again. I did 3 coats of base and 3 coats of clear. I did not paint the very top since it will be Rhino lined.
I was able to get it mounted...
agreed, long enough to open your tailgate is just fine for not only that purpose but backing up as described above..

Little more headway, put up some plastic and positioned some fans to do a little spraying today.
I had the paint from the Jeep color matched at my local auto paint supply shop.
Sprayed the base then 3 coats of clear, sure makes all the WWII/Vietnam dents and dings stand out.
It's just a trailer...
Pretty simple process...
1 - Order new outers with electric brakes and the bolt pattern you desire. ( I have 3500# axle with 6000# outers bolted on)
2 - Order hub-centric rings to take up the gap between the hub and inner circle of you wheel. US Wheel Adapters made them custom for me...
The lip around the top of the trailer is now done.
Finished priming the trailer.
All ready for paint, need some more free time and waiting on buddies paint booth to free up. Hopefully have it painted before the end of July.

I-Expo, with the two trailer jacks in the rear and the one trailer jack with wheel in the front do you find that the trailer moves much while moving around in your tent?

How is the Overland Solar 120 performing?
Would the case it is stored in keep the panels safe in the back of a trailer going offload with a bunch of other stuff beating up against it?

I special ordered the dexter 3k axle with a 'heavy wall' ¼. I used 6k outers with electric brakes.
Reasoning:
- As stated above, parts availability.
- Beefier outers for 35 or 37 in tires.
- Heavier wall so if/when it drops down on a rock it won't bend/break when fully loaded.

I've got the lunette eye and the the castle nut all in perfect condition left over from my build.
Online they go for about $180.00 and $3.00 for the castle nut.

I got the frame back from the powder coater and set up in the garage.
I started off running the wires for the Brake Lights and electric brakes, pretty straight forward.
Hung the axle and put the bump stops on - spring pad worked great to mount the bump stops onto.
I hooked up the parking brake...
Dropped the frame off at the powder coater for a semigloss black coating. Should have it back in a week or three....
I have been looking for an internal frame coater so I don't have to worry about rusting from the inside out.
Found this stuff below... It's supposed to be pretty good and adheres...
From what I have seen and did, the rear shackles should be set at 23 degrees which equates to 1 inch offset from the bottom to the top hole of the shackle.
I used some load on mine to get it right.

Finished welding on the mounts for the trailer jacks and friction sway control.
Clocked the pivot bracket (made a new one) for the brake cable a little more and bulked up the bracket (Original on left, New on Right in pic below).
Sprayed some rubberized coated on the bracket for good measure...
Ended up putting a round trailer jack receiver on each corner, made two from some 2inch tube I had. Now I can choose which corner(s) to put jack(s) on. I still have only 2 jacks, but pending on how it goes I may pick up two more.
