We carry fire wood, sometime 5 gallons gas and a small honda genarator Ice chest , Plus 2 adult bikes. this rack is rated to carry 500lbs.
no problem. cheapest buy on these is Harbor Freight. they also sell frt wheel bike rake to bolt to rack.

I used 3" channel iron on each side to increase the width only the front. You can buy Jack extenters for duelly. MPG should OK with your truck, easy pedal??

For an 2008 not bad price, It appears from ad in good shape. You would get better MPG with the pop-up. I guess your truck has an 8 ft bed. Weight wise with your truck no problem, you would have to modify the front jacks (wider) for the duelly bed, Full size door is nice, overhead...

With the 10" room under the cabover I guess you will get wind bufferting, Hold your hand out the window at those speeds a feel the wind affects! Maybe you can install on the truck roof a wind spoiler to divert the wind over/around your camper?? such as Thule Roof Rack Wind Fairings or Yakima...

I have used Torin T11152 Hydraulic Scissor Jack with Case - 1.5 Ton 5" to 16" lift. Home depot used to carry the same jack called "big red"

Kinda, "V" starts under the leading edge of the cabover. You need to leave about 3/4" gap above the cab for chassis flex. If I finish mine I will post pics.
