120 volt tankless air compressor is much faster than 12v for airing up

This isn't surprising - the amount of air moved is going to be proportional to the amount of available power, with heat being the only other limiting factor for the 120v unit. EDIT for clarity: Just look at the size of the cables between a 12v compressor (10, 12 gauge?, probably 360 watts?)...

2021 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-HBE pop-up flatbed pickup camper (renamed the "Hudson Bay" for 2023 model year)

This was a dealbreaker for us. We're a family of three, so both the cabover and dinette or other secondary bunk will always be in use, and the ability for any one of us to deal with a 2am pee-break without having to get anyone else out of bed is a pretty bedrock criterion for any vehicle...

    Interior Propane Storage

He was lucky, that was a *small* explosion for acetylene. Here's another one I keep for safety briefings - acetylene vs. plumber's van. I like the slow pan to show how parts of the van ended up 2+ houses away:

    four wheel camper construction

Luckily, the most important pieces that were previously made of wood are easy to inspect - the Lift Panels fore/aft seem to be the main things I've seen people had to deal with replacement on. If the lift panels on your 2007 model look good, then that's a strong bit of info.

2020 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-X pop-up slide-in pickup camper (renamed "Back Country" as of 2023)

It appears to be zinc coated/galvanized, rather than stainless? Looks like the coating has been rubbed away, hence the rust.

    4WD or Not?

Yeah, it all depends on the drive ratios involved. On my Astro van (30" tires, 4.10 gears), 4Hi/1st was still sometimes too fast for downhill or tricky terrain, so I was constantly on the brakes, where as with a 2.72:1 Low in 2nd, it was easily moderated with slight or zero throttle. In...

    4WD or Not?

I regret that I have but one 'like' to give to this post. Yes, 4-Lo is better than riding the brakes. Yes, 4WD is kinder to the trail. Yes, airing-down is kinder to the trail, and the vehicle, and your backsides.

Unwanted rear sag - Towing Teardrop with 4th Gen 4Runner

I mean, doing the math on your load will probably be enlightening. Stated tongue weight + Rig'd alone is ~200lbs. You didn't say who made your drawer system, but based on a quick googling, I'd wager that Tongue Weight + Rig'd swing + drawer system eats up ALL of that 330lbs the heavier...

    INEOS Grenadier

To be fair, I believe their business model was always predicated on the idea that the majority of production would be towards military and NGO consumers, and the "fancy offroad types" were the gravy. They never really intended to compete solely as a luxury 4x4.

    Got Scammed by SAMUE

I was seriously considering posting a question on this topic in the Help section. On the one hand, I definitely see an advantage to only wanting real or "seasoned" members to be able to post classifieds - We spend a lot of time coaching new members to follow all the guidelines, and I really...

SOLD 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 with XP/Nimbl Camper

This was listed about 5 months after we bought our turnkey rig, else I'd have been looking very hard at it. (Though I'm not sure we could have mustered the extra scratch.) Like a luxury yacht, the right buyer for this rig is out there, but this isn't a rig for just any owner. I just hope it...

The other thing about an EOL notice is that if they have a dealer customer (like, say, Offroad Warehouse), the EOL is the trigger for that dealer to do their own analysis on predicted sales and warehousing costs. If ORW thinks that it's worth it to order and store another thousand units to have...

    The Memorial F150 Craptor.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Diabetes is a horrible disease, I lost a highschool girlfriend to it, and my day job is at a company that makes equipment for T1D patients. I fully endorse your goals to take those trips. My family is doing something similar after a loss late last year...

    AEV quits the JK

This is standard engineering practice. End of Life (EOL) notices are the mark of a good company that knows how to manage its resources and inventory. No company can go forever stocking parts for everything, at least not without infinite warehouse space and resources. Stuff like bumpers and...
