I did think there was another thread for that one somewhere...
I've had a chance to crawl around in one now. It's very much what most people said they wanted - an ACCC for fullsize trucks.
My biggest disappointment is that the rear bed-hatch area is essentially the same as the ACCC - namely...
All the Astro measurements you could ask for:

I've posted this link to the GTRV Owner's group list for ya'. If the Metris' were available with AWD/4WD, I'd have been battering down your door with a pile of cash.
GLWS!
Moreover, F1 got safer specifically because certain marquee drivers started insisting on it. After Stewart's accident at Spa, he became an advocate. Similar for Lauda after the Nurburgring. By the time Senna died, basically the entire driver's association was ready to put their collective...
Gary Lee has been the gold-standard for ladders and stuff-on-ladders for the Vanagon guys for more than a decade.
Lots of ideas here:

Yeah, lack of adventure-vehicle parking is literally the only downside to our home. On the plus side, I have a huge workshop-shed with dedicated machine tool space...
Heh, all my research says the RAMs end up about 6" longer than the Fords. And my driveway is 22' long.
Maybe I need to stick with vans. :p
Thanks for the info!
Looks like a great package!
Would you mind taking a measurement of the full overall length? I have a short-ish driveway and fitting without blocking the sidewalk means I need to be pretty careful about packaging. I think the RAM trucks end up a little longer than their competitors, but it's...
First, you need to decide how much you want to fight. You may have some options, but often the "cost of being right" isn't worth it when it comes to living in a neighborhood. HOAs are good at using the pain they can inflict to stimulate compliance, even if they aren't always legally in the...
Does that dinette make into a bed? I got some pushback from Bundutec at some point that indicated that it didn't... (but I can't figure out why it wouldn't)
Those 1995 vans are so cool with the new front-end but the original dash setup. (My GTRV donor van was a 1995 too.)
I also love seeing the LT seats. It was a shame they sold so few LTs compared to the "base" packages.
GLWS!
You're in the right ballpark on your estimate of the useful volume of a tank as far as airing up. A little time with Boyle's law, a calculator, and good estimates of the volume of each of your tires would tell you exactly how many tires (or portions of tire) could be filled by a given tank at a...
I kept a solar panel in a side out rack under my old Yakima system, not much to it
For that small of a space (vertically), it was really easy to include a fairing to eliminate any wind noise
Another option: if your fridge allows swapping the side the hinge is on, the door already has a hole on the end opposite. Adding a matching hole in the surrounding frame gives you a place to insert a 1/4" hitch pin.
There are kits from the RV vendors too, but any pin will work
Still trying to gauge how viable the product is. Yes, any reasonable assessment indicated it would be well over GVWR, but even with that criteria there are levels of sanity. Factory GVWR is 5600 lbs, so a full-up weight of 8000lbs is 46% over the GVWR, or essentially 300+% of original payload...
