Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

This is all good stuff! Nine years ago we built our house with "EPS" panels, see www.aidomes.com. My goal was efficiency. The tighter the envelop, the more efficient the house. We basically tripled the size of our previous house but reduced our utility bill. High humidity only occurs when...

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

Thanks for the link. I have inquired with a couple different manufactures. Some make limited sizes, some only make the honey comb panel. Personally I would prefer the sandwiched foam panels. Andreas seems to have the total package. He even has a method so the walls can support items such as...

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

Beaufort Composites is in NC, unless there is another with the same name:) I spoke with them, their panels have a maximum width of 4' and they do not sell the extrusions. I also spoke with Andreas at total composites. I really want to do business with this company. The only draw back is...

Still a demand for Baja style campers?

Interesting how ideas travel. http://www.truckcampermagazine.com/news/tcm-exclusive-2016-northstar-vista http://rayzrcamper.com/ I'm contemplating building something similar, except it would be for a flatbed. There are definite advantages for this type camper.

    Dry Flush Toilet??

Interesting to see the "potty passion" for natures head :) Still would be nice to hear from someone regarding the dry flush. I suspect it might be too new.

    Dry Flush Toilet??

I think it does vacuum seal. I first saw this type of toilet on TV's tiny house builders. As I contemplate the next build, I thought this would be perfect as it uses no water, is portable, and light weight. Here is an interesting read...

    New build - 1991 BornFree ford class B 7.3 diesel 4x4

Just came across your thread. Looking good. I've been looking at various campers for 4x4 conversion and retrofit. Almost have it narrowed down to a Chinook. What are your thoughts "or anybody's " regarding the fiberglass body? Will it hold up when over landing? What is the best camper for...

    Tc650 owners-Tundra/Silverado/f150?

If $160 is the "actual price" and not built in the overall total price, then I would agree that's a deal for front springs, a rear leaf, and a sway bar! Good point though, always look at the bottom line. Also, just because its "certified" does not mean it won't fail, however you will or...

    Tc650 owners-Tundra/Silverado/f150?

Probably cheaper to upgrade with after market suspension parts that to buy "special package" from manufacturer. I think this is what most of us do for all brands of truck. So just go with the Ram 2500 diesel and add air bags, you won't regret it:)

    E-Series Shuttle Bus Conversion?

So I spoke with a parts guy from Turtle Top..... Shuttle busses rattle and probably will not last long off road. You were right Chris :) However this type was recommended

    E-Series Shuttle Bus Conversion?

Has anyone converted a small shuttle bus to an overland vehicle? At first look I thought nawww. But then pictured the side skirts removed, folding entry door replaced, bumpers/winch, and of course a U-joint conversion. The only negative I've heard is that they are noisy and may not hold up...

Why aren't ute or tray back style campers more prevalent in the US?

Here is an interior pic I did the seats basically by ordering the parts from the dealer. Much cheaper than buying a whole new seat. Here is the build at TCM, there are more pass through pics here. http://www.truckcampermagazine.com/news/phoenix-flatbed-pops-up-and-slides-out Another article...
