Probably cheaper to upgrade with after market suspension parts that to buy "special package" from manufacturer. I think this is what most of us do for all brands of truck. So just go with the Ram 2500 diesel and add air bags, you won't regret it:)

Has anyone converted a small shuttle bus to an overland vehicle? At first look I thought nawww. But then pictured the side skirts removed, folding entry door replaced, bumpers/winch, and of course a U-joint conversion. The only negative I've heard is that they are noisy and may not hold up...

My mistake, should of had my glasses on. Combined GAWR is 12500; 6000 front and 6500 rear. GVWR is 10,000.
