    Why does no one use a high truck shell?

    Since this thread is back from it's nap, here's my 40". I'm 6' and can stand in it with my head down. I have it up for sale as I haven't been using it much since I finished my cross country tour.

    There is the dust, toxic fumes/ horrible smell. Use a NIOSH approved respirator. Check with Baroud to see if a replacement roof is available.

    The bigger truck with the bigger engine also has bigger brakes. Air bags won't help you in an emergency stop coming down a steep grade.

    The way I see it is you are looking at spending $34k for an inferior truck for the task when you can get the right truck from the start. Fuel economy will suffer with the camper on anyway. Your maintenance costs will probably be higher on the 150 versus heavy duty components on the 250. Good...
