Flippac was a great product made by a company that really didn't want to be in that business... and it showed. ATOverland is kind of showing what might have been, had someone cared.
Yeah, from what I understand, moisture-management is a fact of life in the NW, whether camping or just living in a home that maybe doesn't have the best air-exchange or active-drying.
As a desert-kid, it's hard to imagine, but I hear things... ;)
Still waiting to hear what OP thinks are a better value
Remembering that this isn't the Campfire section - hoping there will be meaningful discussion instead of just whinging.
That reminds me of the guys in the Le-mons/crap-can racing series who ran BMWs for years. They got to where they had a stencil with a little logo they'd spraypaint "Noch ein(er) Scheiß E30" onto every car they fielded:
This isn't my final answer on the subject, but this at least adds a quicker-to-deploy table on the rear of my van for those times when I just want to make a quick meal without busting out the whole kitchen setup. I'm already carrying this table-with-leg since we use it inside the van, so when I...
Possible but challenging.
A truck that long will have many of the problems of a big Earthroamer or similar rig. Partly it depends on where you spend your time. Deserts of the Southwest? Less of a problem. Tight FS roads like Wose mentioned? Small city centers? Problem.

Very cool.
I feel like an F550 is overkill for my needs, but I'm really enthusiastic about companies that are working to amortize some of this NRE work into multi-customer products, instead of there being a whole universe of one-off custom builds out there. :D
Since I'd never plan to remove a camper, I had always figured I would just do the standard "bolt down" method offered by 4WC. Any reasons I should reconsider that plan if I bought one?
I like it. I know US highways are long and flat (especially in the west), but I've never thought we needed giant-ass vans geared so that they cruise at 85mph. Much better for me to be geared a bit lower when I hit the hills, especially when I'm right at GVWR...
Glad that you've got a conclusive test on what needs fixing, and I'm glad your vendor is going to bat on your behalf, but this is a serious bummer to see issues like this on a new camper.
