The nice part of using a 20# tank is the ability to exchange them easily when on the road.
Every pharmacy, Gas station and hardware store seem to have Blue Rhino boxes.
just remember They only fill to 17# in them.

Will the propane tank be removable?
The problem I see with a fixed tank is getting the trailer close enough at a fill station.
My local fill station wants the tank on the scale when they fill it.
If you live by a fill station that is used for cars and busses this would not be a problem.

The M101a trailers make excellent foundations to build.
F and L built a M101A1 and could give you info on the axle he used.
His turned out very nice.
