On my M116A2 frame I removed the safety chains and replaced the one long nose bolt with two short bolts and nuts from behind.
It worked well as the tongue rails and the landing leg mount share the same angle.
Easy enough to do and use all of the original parts.
No camber to the axle but for the parking brakes to work I would flip the backing plates side to side.
I wonder if there would be enough room between the axle tube and frame?
You would need a shorter bump stop too.
Most have sand blasted The CARC on the trailers is tough stuff.
I would inquire about soda blasting to see the cost difference.
