I like the new design with the tubing and dimpled plates.
I think it is time you guys stop building on the floor and construct a build table.
That has to be hell on your back working that low.
Go to the local walmart pick up a nice over rated bottle jack and a Gorilla wrench.
Been useing this combo for 12 years and has worked well. you can also hit up the local salvage yards for cheap vehicle jacks too...
If it is not working I would ditch the surge coupler.
keep the parking brake and spring over the axle.
Nice looking trailer.
You could sell the Surge lunette on a military site but it has been altered and may not be desired.

I had one made from here that was fitted like a shoe box cover.
It has held up well.
I like the tube rails gives it a vintage look.
From the recovery stories I have heard on Steel Soldiers,
You must remove the trailer off the lot to a civilian location before doing any work.
They will load your trailer onto a flat bed with a fork truck.
I am not certain on the bolt pattern but someone on steelsoldiers.com will.

I went with a stationary rack with a 7' x 7' expanded steel deck.
My cover was made by Mytarps.com Look under Machine cover.
It is like a shoebox lid and is held tight with Bungee rope. I have had it several years and it keeps things...

let it cure then tape line above the cut but with the fender line and bed line to look like a fender flare.
