Wouldn't that be one hell of a road trip to bring it back home here. I think I would go via Africa, Europe and Siberia to make it home.:ylsmoke:
The Liberty had the 2.8 for 2005 and 2006. It was not a Wrangler package like the Rubicon or Sahara names are, it was its own separate vehicle. I don't know if your 2010 Wrangler 2.8 engine is the same or not as the 05/06 Liberty motors. You might try AEV with your questions as they are in...
It never was in the Wrangler in the US, it was the Liberty for just 2 or 3 years I think. I should think filters and maintenance items are available here but wouldn't count on any major engine parts being here.
Good to see you and your leg are still together. I grew up in a logging family and have seen and experienced what chainsaws can do to human flesh. I only did it once when I was about 19 and that was enough. Luckily my dad had made my sister come along with me on the falling job so she got to...
One and only update is that its getting new digs.:) We just moved this month to a new place in the country on 10 acres with a 1700 square foot shop that is about 30 feet from my front door. Haven't worked on it much since May with me getting a new job in May and moving in July. Last...
Nice pics. Looks like fun.
Plugged fuel filter can be a huge part of the power problem. Check your cooling stack for debris and oil, I have seen more than one duramax that I pulled the radiator out and found the fins plugged with leaves and such, looked fine on the outside. Make sure all...
Fan clutch was my #1 suspect. I have seen a couple on Dodge cummins go bad with less miles than yours. The common rail Dodges and Duramaxes are very similar in design and components. Nice rig, need to see some more action shots. Fully deployed in camp action in some remote location with sun...
Is your fan clutch engaging when its hot? If your fan clutch is an electronic one controlled by the ECM I have seen them have issues with slippage. Also 3/4 on your guage might not be as hot as you think or hot enough to make the fan clutch engage. Nice build on your truck.
Make sure you don't have a vacuum line off and also check and make sure your intake manifold isn't warped allowing a vacuum leak on #1. Use a can of carb clean with a straw, be careful as you can make a fire quickly with it.:) Idle should pick up when carb clean is sucked into engine via...
It might take it a little while and your Jeep does not have the problem prone Renix injection. Are you 100% sure your dist. cap is good? Are there any vacuum line ports on the #1 runner or close to it? Have you done a compression test yet? Does it run poorly or have a miss and did it do it...
