I'd be interested in retrofitting them to a more modern FG also, 2011 and newer etc. I can foresee creosote bush branches just punching through those boots lol.
This week...time to order some seats. Looks like National is the best choice, so that's what's going to go in. I opted for an ARB compressor, I've got a few old tanks laying around from past truck projects, so those'll be the accumulators. I just need to call a few of the potential camper...
Mock - what I see as more of an issue is the limited upward travel of the stock system (and, to an extent, of the parabolics too). The shocks won't do anything to help with bottoming out, at least they shouldn't...unless they're specifically designed to act as limiters. I've got the parabolics...
Tagged for whatever happens. I'm rebuilding my XR4 to the 416 version, but I'll still carry that additional CS sprocket. But....yeah, a wide ratio? That'd be nice. Or all the way....six speed? heh.
Have you tried Gulfway, out of Florida? They insure race vehicles, and support vehicles, plus transporters, etc. When I had my M35A2 and Unimogs on the road, Gulfway had no issues insuring them.
