    Jerry can question

Once you get it open, take a close look at that red coating...it might just be a paint. Some of the NATO cans that made it over here have a red paint coat inside. Personally, I'd never use Kreem. I'd just get the interior as clean as possible (chain agitation, some white vinegar, etc), and...

Day One...not that this is going to go fast, or anything

OK, just picked the truck up from service. Turned out to be a bad NOX sensor. As to the DEF level gauge, according to the factory the work around is to let the tank get down to 1/4 full before filling it. Doesn't make lots of sense to me, but I guess those of us that are diligent on PMS with our...

    DAKAR 2015

RaceDezert usually has decent coverage, and of course ADVRider has good bike coverage, especially if you're Team F5, lol. But if you're looking for actual video options there are other options out there, just gotta look hard for them.

Day One...not that this is going to go fast, or anything

Agreed, the visibility is a good thing. I don't think the parking brake alarm is anywhere near the same volume as that last warning I had, was.

Day One...not that this is going to go fast, or anything

Well, Aluminess is still working on the bumper, but in other news....truck is in the shop. I've done a few hundred miles, a quick trip out to Phoenix, etc., on and off since last report. It's been throwing intermittent DPF/DEF codes. They usually last a few miles, and then go away. Well, today...

    Group-buy Pull-Pal: Ends 1/26/15

Of course. Reality is that many situations where you're going to be stuck, you can probably get out with light pulls. Unless, of course, you like to test the limits....like getting frame deep in sticky mud, which calls for a pull that's at least 2x vehicle weight. Up to cab, might be 3x vehicle...

Insurance question for those with FG Campers?

Interesting....I've got my 2012 with full replacement coverage at just over 1500/year. Just a flatbed for now. Liberty Mutual.

    All Terrain Warriors campers

Hmm. Not a bad idea, and better than the wood wheels we used to use for 'mogs. But what I'd really like to see are some hub steps....

All part of the fun. One thing I can recommend - before you get into any electrical stuff, get a copy of the Calder book.

Insurance question for those with FG Campers?

I'm using Liberty Mutual for it currently, but they said no problem once it becomes a full RV. I do know AAA is pretty useless. Too tall is a weird objection, seeing as how I was just driving a Class A that was 12' in height.....

    2010 Fuso FG on eBay

I think you can also get frame repair sections that'll slide right into the C channel frames. Would make a cut/weld even easier, and still strong. I'd probably just get a local shop to shorten the driveshaft, rather than finding a stocker.
