What kind of topper is that? It looks canvas like a can bak, cool!

    1st gen tundra snorkel/storage

OK, see, you know it's against forum law to post hints about your ride without photographic evidence......just to keep you safe from ExPo jail, I'll ask. What Tundra are you running and can we see a picture of it? (that'll buy you some time)

    1st gen tundra snorkel/storage

I'll make that even easier....here's the link for the 100 series snorkel on a 1st gen tundra. That's about the best you'll get anywhere. As for bed storage, ours is just tightly packed on the floor and under the tonneau cover. The rest is in boxes on the bed rack. There should be Tacoma...

    Cooper ST's - 255/85/16

I can't comment on the FCIIs with first hand knowledge (and shouldn't in this thread); but I can comment with first hand knowledge on the S/Ts. I'm no rock crawler. never been to Moab, or even any of these off road parks in the East. I have been through 90,000 miles of S/T tread (two sets)...

Maybe Santa's running a bit late? I really can't wait to see how this turns out!

    Kitchen Kit/Chuck Box

This is exactly the reason ours is designed the way it is. The stove is absolutely separate from the chuck box. The box itself carries the utensils, dinnerware, glasses, pots and pans. The stove is a two burner coleman that tucks neatly behind the wheelwell in the bed of the truck. We use...

    Propane Hot Water Heater

Yes, it needs to be pressurized. This is the setup in my truck. 21 gallon water tank, 12v Shurflo RV pump and a deep cycle boat battery. The blue hose runs to a quick connect fitting so I can go from a sprayer nozzle to the heater without drama.

    Propane Hot Water Heater

My concerns inside would be 1) fire; the unit is well insulated around the sides (that was our initial concern with hanging it off the rack - the back doesn't get hot though) the heat from the propane vents upward; and B) did I mention fire? I don't think having a burning object inside a canvas...

    Propane Hot Water Heater

It works pretty well. The shower head is a bit rinky-dink, lightweight and fussy to shut off. We plan on replacing ours with some kind of actual shutoff valve and a better quality shower head. It is the quickest way to heat water for showers or dishes that I've found. If you're not careful it...

    Project DuoDrop

Leave it alone? I don't see how it could be possible not to customize something to make it uniquely your own. I say paint it and stickerify it to your hearts desire....

    Maxxis Bighorn MT-762 tires

Not to get offtrack here, but wouldn't sidewall thickness be somewhat more important than the number of plies in the sidewall? I mean if you have a 2ply sidewall that's 1/4" thick wouldn't that be better than a 3ply that's 1/8" thick? Not that anyone goes around measuring sidewall thickness...

Past the point of no return...

Deflection reflected.....get a real Claymore (the kind those bloody Scots used) just in case that final fire isn't so final.....those pesky zombies have a way of invading your home after they're "dead"; kind of the same way they can invade, die off and reinvade a thread at a moments notice!

    My Wandering Soul

Phil, not really another option, but, I am also not far from Front Royal (east of Fredericksburg). I do not have a place to tackle a job like valve guide seals, but I do have a large house with a spare bedroom. You are welcome to stay here for a while until you can get things straightened out...

Nice trip! It's one of those places that's nearby but I haven't made it to yet.... Thanks for reminding us that there's more beach than OBX!

Past the point of no return...

I'd like to know too. I don't have tons of HP/TQ to spare, but I do have an extra "Expedition Portal" sticker; I hear they're good for 5 HP. I'm guessing you're a little slower than before....even if it's only in wind resistance. I promise I won't recommend a V8 swap (even if that's what it...
