TundraBirds Go! Picture Thread for Tundras and T-100s

Is that with a tailwind? The 1 horse buggies you can deal with but watch out for those 2 horsepower Amish buggies. They're pretty quick and may just blow your doors off!

TundraBirds Go! Picture Thread for Tundras and T-100s

It's called "Green Envy" , see he's got this cool Tacoma with a fresh solid axle conversion, but it's powered by an overburdened, underpowered, fourbanger. When he's loaded for a trip he gets less mileage than our V8 powered trucks, and can't pass those granny's down the road 'cause "accelerate"...

    Haggis' Multi-Use Tundra Build

I bet they'd fit nicely and look as cool on my grill too.....if we ever got the sub-zero conditions to require them!

TundraBirds Go! Picture Thread for Tundras and T-100s

That's no storage container my friend.....that's a Yeti Tundra cooler! With that kind of name it had to get badged with the emblem and the "Got Sasquatch" sticker......:sombrero: BTW, those bumpers turned out great! I'd buy one of those with a front receiver where the fairlead is.....

"Funny" query related to four-tire rotation.

I don't know how common it really is, but with the sheer number of tires produced and sold some will be defective and I know of a few that have had broken belts. The few I've seen some were "cheap" brands and some were "quality" big name brands. Percentage wise to the number of tires sold I'm...

    First Aid Kits

The cold pack is there for those times we are out in the truck and not near camp. Near camp we will have the cooler and ice and plastic bags available. When we roam away from camp we don't always have ice with us. There is quick clot in the kit, it's listed under surgical supplies...

    First Aid Kits

We've been travelling and camping (uh, overlanding) for several years now. We've always carried a small first aid kit but it was essentially band-aids and ibuprofen. We travel alone, we travel with our teenagers, we travel with other people. We do enough travelling that we decided last year...

    Tire rotation?

    Every oil change (5000 miles)

"Funny" query related to four-tire rotation.

I've always (and I've used radials exclusively) crossed the front ones to the back and rolled the rear tires straight to the front. This has worked wonderfully on several different vehicles, RWD, FWD and 4WD. The tires wear well, stay balanced easily and all have lasted 40-80,000 miles...

    Tales of the Grey Mouser...

Except this one..... It's one of the few pics I took that weekend, but every good vehicle needs lots of pictures to back its status! Nice write up, my friend!

    2002 Tundra

No need to lecture, I was just pointing out options. I don't like the look of any of those bumpers and I would fab up something custom also.

    2002 Tundra

Not nearly as much as we'd like support wise, but it is there. Bumpers: ARB Sahara bar, Iron Bull, Kennesaw Mountain Lockers: ARB, Detroit, Powertrax; however, you'll need(IIRC) to have the open (non LSD) differential Lifts: Bilstein (5100 adjustable), ICON coilover, Camburg, Toytec Keep...

BKCowGod's RRC Build Thread (The MechaPenguin)

This is probably one of the best ideas I've ever had! I'm really excited to see the results! If you can pull this off, I'll overlook the steps and tell the lynchmob to stand down......

BKCowGod's RRC Build Thread (The MechaPenguin)

It's amazing what 25 bucks will get you! Hope you and yours get a lot of "out there" fun with it. Diggin' the name and I've got a picture in my head of a hood (bonnet) graphic a la a Trans Am Fire Chicken, modified in a more penguinesque style....a fire breathin' screamin' mechanized penquin!

Past the point of no return...

Since my puny tires are getting worn down to replacement, I would consider your puny tires for my puny truck, providing the price were equally puny for a decent amount of tread......I need something that will get me 20,000 miles or so down the road (that's another year of driving time)
