I am glad you started a thread for the Sprinter. We too miss the Tiger, and I was recently tempted by a CX on the east coast. With a +1 on the way, I have thought about gutting the interior of our SMB. But that, as you know all so well, is a bunch of work!

Congrats Garrett! Looks like a nice van! If it has an overdrive then it is more than likely the E4OD. The C6 is only a three speed with no overdrive. The overdrive is a great feature to have for those long fwy drives. The older Fords are definitely built strong,nothing quite like old iron.

I watched the episode last night, it was pretty funny. They actually modded the Astro with a lift, tires, winch, and bumper. It was pretty neat. Unfortunately most of the footage was of the 2wd Ford slipping all over the place. Spoiler alert: The Astro does win.

This is great news! This is a great alternative to a Tiger or even Earthroamer. Now instead of eventually replacing our SMB with a Tiger, we can go this route! Anxiously awaiting the debut!
