Broken again. Seems to be the drive/Bendix this time.
It does half a crank, the drive disengages/kicks out, you can hear the starter wind down to a stop like it's not driving the engine anymore.
Hopefully I can find the receipt for the old one.
I've read that too much timing causes kickback...
You may want to upgrade "the big 3" to take advantage of the alternator output. My 2011 HD has the factory 160 amp alternator and 2 gauge cable, not bad.
My '84 k20 plow truck had a wimpy 10 gauge alternator wire that didn't even go directly to the battery.
Maybe something from the trucking industry?
Might only be usable with the engine running but it would be a good way to warm up the bed before turning in for the night.
I looked into my problem, turns out its the rough ride. My HD is pretty stiff and on crappy roads the disc wont load. If I'm not moving it'll load.
Probably not your problem though.
When I worked at jiffy lube the guys up top were always told to try and upsell the customers on that stuff but the guys I new never lied like that, there was no incentive for them to. I always hated when they convinced the customers to get a new fuel filter. Almost impossible on a rusty Midwest...
When I worked at jiffy lube as a teenager in 2001-2002ish I made 9/hr with no benefits. After graduating high school I went to auto tech school(2 yrs) while working nights in a factory for 13/hr. Near the end of that program I tested #1 in my class, they wanted to send me to some kind of...
I don’t agree that the 6.2 is a totally different design than the 6.0. My L96 uses the same “ls3” style square port heads, only difference is displacement and the compression ratio is probably different.
IMO, and I could be wrong, is that the 6.0 is de-tuned for longevity and fuel economy...
I’m a fan of GM trucks because the drivetrains are pretty well proven, except for the whole displacement on demand troubles, the HD trucks don’t have to deal with that though.
I’ve never seen 15mpg with mine and the ride is a little rough even with my 17” winter tire setup so idk if I’d...
I worked at a quick lube place when I was in high school. My supervisor was legitimately a meth addict and the owner was having an affair with her. It was a pretty messed up place. It was me and two other high school kids running the place during the afternoons and weekends with the supervisor...
I have a driving and a cornering I think. You can tell them apart by comparing the fresnels. The more fresnels the more spread the light is. Yours are not pencil/spot beam. That's all I can say for sure.
