I think a lot of it has to do with antenna more than with coax cable. Getting a good ground, etc. If you really want a decent SWR, stay away from Firestik. Im sure there are several users with respectable SWR using firestik antennas, but on the whole I think the Wilson, etc, guys get better...

Discos are pretty top heavy as well. As for D1 vs D2, all the D1 guys are trying to install D2 cupholders, even down to the cupholders, D2s are better ;) -Sam

Scott, For that price I would stick with a better known manufacturer. It says that the winch has 85 ft of cable. Since you have to keep a couple of wraps on the drum, you are down to 80ft, depending on where you wheel, that may not be adequate. You could find a smittybilt, superwinch or used...

Your truck weighs around 7250-7500 bone stock. Depending on where you wheel and what mods you plan on getting, I wouldn't even consider getting anything less than a 12k winch. Those of us with 5500-6500lb trucks get 8.5k-9k winches and generally a pulley block just in case we get really stuck...

If you have a dedicated offroader, why would you want a gas heavy, AWD daily driver? Wouldnt it be smarter to find something fuel efficient especially if you wont be doing what the disco was intended for - wheeling. Pretty much all of the reasons to get a disco fall away if you are exclusively...
