Yes. I hate car seats but they are required by law and they also make good sense because most seatbelts don't keep little kids secure in a crash. I hate the design of most of them and they are pretty darn uncomfortable on long trips.
I would say look for a crewcab now or SUV and utility trailer because kids just keep getting bigger and taking long trips with jr. in the middle gets old real quick.
I think that truck would be a little heavy for expo use. Water weighs alot so that truck has been built with super heavy duty components which means its heavy. 4000 gallons of water would be about 32000 lbs, campers weigh alot less. Heavy gets stuck easy compared to light, even all wheel...
On the newer rigs probably not too well unless you added some internal bracing. I could see sheetmetal damage happening and the can/holder parting ways somewhere in your journey, especially on bumpy roads. Sheetmetal thickness isn't what it used to be on newer vehicles.
I have a 06 Tundra double cab with the bench seat front. Its ok for short trips with all six of us but for longer trips we take the wifes Sequoia. My back seat isn't real big and the cab isn't real wide. We have owned a 96 Sub which was probably the roomiest for trips, a 95 Disco which was my...
I think you would be fine in Canada. I know there was or is going to be a tour of the Alaska highway of exmilitary vehicles to commemorate its construction.
Oh they will make one, but only one, to tease us here in the US. Then they will offer it to other parts of the world but not here in the US. Jeep is real good at teasing, google Wrangler and diesel engine and see what I mean.
Mega cabs are nice, lots of room in the back seat for when the kids get bigger. The only downside is being a dually/megacab means it won't be fun to drive around town much. Be a nice road trip truck though. I am also not a fan of the emissions packages on the 07 and newer diesels, lots more...
My six year old daughter says when the engine sticks out of the hood it means its a fast car.:)
Nice work, love your body lift. Will file that idea in the back of my head for future reference.
98 Dodge with a P-pump twelve valve cummins is a very rare bird, especially with the quad cab package. I would have to say its not a bad deal, 20k for the whole package.
