Thanks for the discussion. If I was to do the swap, I would have to get flares to cover the tires where I live, so the mud would not be an issue. As for on road, I would also try to make the sway bar work from a titan, as I am doing the Alcan 5000 in truck, so handling around corners is a...
I am referring to the suspension Titan Swap. With a Lokka in the R180 it should be as strong or stronger then an open M205. I am more curious if the extra track width ever becomes a concern on narrow and tight trails?
I was curious if those who have Titan swapped can list the issue they have had. Has the increased track width at the front ever prevented you form being able to travel down a Jeep trail?
Steel wheels are heavy, affecting suspension performance, braking and fuel economy and power. Around here at least, they are also crazy expensive. The final blow to steel wheels is that they bend easily when aired down.
Nordegg, Great town, I spent a year living just out of Nordegg on fish lake. I love that place, the old mining town litters the hills around and is great to explore by bike. Who was your Pilot for the the tour?
Interesting idea. I have always wanted an AWD/4WD/LS combo in a small vehicle.
Issues you might find, are that with the Hardbody trucks, the centre diff sits where the oil pan on an LS would need to be. Never though about looking into the QX4, might have to take some measurements. When looking...
Yeah the new Armadas are nice. My wife is looking for a new vehicle but she seems to have her heart set on a Highlander. I just don't get the point of buying a minivan that doesn't have sliding doors. That is the bet part of a mini van
Thanks.
I am running the Lokka in the front. Got it on a group buy here. I mainly put it in to get rid of the stock Spider gears with the added benefit of traction for days.
I also just signed up to Flickr so I will try and post up a few more pics.

Thanks I am looking at putting together a good Backcountry Loop of the Area, and this is a pretty important piece of it. Next time I want to run it with a few people would be more fun and easier with a spotter.
The Frontier has been perfect so far. Very happy with the decision. I just wish they...
The other day I heard that a trail I have wanted to check out, but never bothered because it was an old closed road and was gated shut, was not actually gated. I also heard that the bridges on it were washed out but thought it might still be worth checking it out. I was planning to organize an...
