I sometimes find these numbers to be misleading. Usable storage space is different then overall that, that being said the New Rav4 are big vehicles with tiny motors and uncomfortable seats. And the New 4runners are the same size as the original Sequoias just with a V6 instead of the V8.
Glad...
My wife is looking to replace her Tiguan with something bigger. We did start looking at Touaregs, but found for the size they are not big enough inside. That and the reliability seems good, until something big goes wrong.
She has always liked the size and look of the Commanders, and the pricing...
Cheapest way is to pickup some uni strut and a couple muffler clamps. Bolt it to the factory roof rack, then buy two Kuat Dirtbag fork down mounts. Pretty cheap and easy. Also not to hard to remove. Only issue will be the two front wheels will need to be stored.
I had a WJ for a year, and racked the milage up on it. I only sold it because I decided to start a business. I loved it. Reliability wise the Laredo's have less to go wrong, especially the blend door issues in the heater. That was a major point for me. I also liked the plastic lower cladding...
Make sure the locker does function properly. When in 4lo you engage it and the light might flash for a few seconds but then should turn solid. When test driving used vehicles we found most did not engage properly. My guess is from a lack of use.
Went out exploring and trying out the Hema Map app. Came across a pretty narrow and steep water crossing.
The truck just fit, but managed to climb out no problem.
We also spent a week camping for Canada day. We missed out trailer, but everything needed for the week did fit in the truck, or on...
So here is the rack functioning on the truck. I just need sort out some bolts and to take it off again and paint it.
Profile wise it sits nicely on the roof and doesn't stick up. Wind noise is the same as the factory bar, once I put a little v on the bars.
With a little work on the bolts...
I went for another little drive this morning with a friend. He had found a large 4'x5' rock that he was worried his tacoma wouldn't carry. Managed to load it and a few more with no problem. I also decided that getting this roof top basket done is a priority.
On the way up we also ran into a...
Thanks, we really do like BC. I spent the weekend in AB and my wife and I were admiring the scenery but then both chuckled as we rounded a corner near home and realized how picturesque it is here.
So far I still really like the Old Man Emu Setup. Carries weight way better then stock, and I...
Started playing around with a roof basket idea. I have been torn about trying to order a Dep Hep style drop in basket into Canada. So I started looking into making my own, then had the idea to use Uni Strut. Turns out my idea is not to unique, others have had the same idea. I am thinking about...
