I will be watching this build closely. Very exciting news Mario. I can't wait to see this truck when it's finished.

    New VDEGs: Vehicle-Dependent Expedition Guide

Oh Brian, that's so not fair. I'll probably have to wait until end of next week for mine to show up...another great benefit of living in AZ. Salt in the wounds I tell ya.

    No Country for Cold Men

Very nice, gents. Thanks for all the hard work so that we could live the trip vicariously through you images and great stories.:REExeSquatsHL1: It was almost like I was there (although deep down inside I'm still jealous I wasn't). Bravo.

    Battery Operated Water Pump

Awesome. Thanks again! My Zodi just might fit under there. I'll have to measure. My Horizon has 33" tires, so it'll be just a tad shorter.

    Battery Operated Water Pump

Dave, Letting you do all the work :), have you also figured out a way to keep the pump clean when not in use, at least the hose end that goes into the water tank? After watching your video, I definitely like this idea; however, I'd want to make sure that dirt/dust doesn't get introduced...

    Battery Operated Water Pump

This sounds awesome...simple and reliable. Would you mind sharing a picture and/or further details? For example, do you fill directly from the valve or do you connect a hose to it? One thing that seems to take forever is filling the Zodi Extreme with a couple gallons for showers. But...

    Trip out with new 'Yak

Great PFD Have you looked into one of these yet? SOSPENDERS I use one of these and love the freedom of movement. Only caution? It won't deploy itself unless you get the automatic style. I decided for the manual, because I knew it would get wet at times without my wanting it to auto-deply.

Why do folks say, "Jeeps aren't expedition vehicles?"

This is so true. My Montero has been called a Jeep on more than one occasion.

Helping Disabled Explorers: The AT Trailer Return Thread

Okay, that's too funny. I'm sure the horizon is glad you're helping her younger brother, but she'll be glad when you're back. Joe, I know North Dallas is quite a bit off of I10, but if you find yourself up here or close (relatively speaking for TX) on your way back, give me a shout. You've...

Survival Sack: When things go bad...

That's a pretty extensive list. Thanks for posting that up. Now, I want to see the size of the bag that holds all of that stuff. Any photos?

    Tour de Plateau

Awesome. Nothing beats a cold brew and some sizling kalbi to get things started after a long day of trail negotiations and chasing the right sunlight for the perfect shots.
