well, that sucks :)
i think your camper settled (shifted, though i know you don't like that word) just a tiny bit and now its tight and locking the latch. But i think you know that too.
Ideas????
maybe bounce over a speed bump and slam on the brakes at same time?
drive on a washboard road...
we own (my wife) a '10 limited runner with the Torsen full time center diff. I also live in E. Sierra snow country, we get nasty deep snow and also icy roads. My wife has to be reminded how to put her runner into 4wd. I am saying that the full time center AWD mode is so good that she NEVER...

Yes, correct. if you look at that bag on DS that is stuffed at articulation it is at an angle, sort of pinching more at the front of the bag. It is due to the angle of the u-bolt plate that my cradle plate is sitting on. It has an angle built into it, whey the company added that angle i do...
Took the sway bar off when i added the ICON suspension. It handled just as good as stock on windy roads. It does have a little sway with my camper on the truck, but i expect that. I think the trade off is worth it for a little better traction/tire contact.
to early to tell for sure. Gears have to be broken in before i will hit the throttle hard or tow.
But.... so far it is very nice. It is not a drastic change but noticeable. Which, i think, is best. 4.30 to 4.88 is only a small jump. Perfect for tire sizing from 34"- 37" and multi use. If...
HUGE difference with the Auburn Limited Slip. with nannies turned off.
I'm sure you guys know how to do this but here it is anyway- truck running, in neutral. Push traction control button once quickly, then again but hold it down for a few seconds. you will see a few lights kick on at...
some poser shots of my little fire road excursion :
huge increase in articulation with the daystar airbag cradles. really let the rear end loose.
On fire roads and mild whoops that i played in, the bags had no noticeable increase in noise from my already clanking truck (mostly the...
I read thru this, but may have missed a couple things. sorry if ii did. heres some of my thoughts.
your current setup. Your just looking for more articulation?
you said your shocks are limiting your down travel by over 1-1/2" ? thats a lot.
you said your tires rub on the fenders at full...
mounting your shocks way inboard at the diff. housing like the last photo ^ above would yield some pretty drastic body roll on corners or off cambers. closer to the outside the better, least amount of / \ angle optimal.
TEST DRIVE!!!!!
ABS warning light was on in driveway
Turned out of spot it was parked in for the job and heard a couple nasty pops from rear end.
Light went out within 20' of driving and once the oil in the rear diff. had distributed itself and permeated the Auburn it was silent and smooth...
OK. I changed out all the rubber lines to SS in the brake system....
BRAKE BLEEDING a 2010 Tundra
We have ABS and a 4line, each caliper independent, system off the booster.
looked all over the internets. no one consensus on how it should be done. some like pressure bleeders, some vacuum is...
