It’s Baaaack! The Durango P/Up is resurrected!

Surely a mid-sized pickup from RAM aimed at the Tacoma and Ranger will basically be a Gladiator? -Dan

The Road Chose Me tackles Iceland

Hi All, I've been eager to get up into the heart of Iceland to (What I think must be) the most impressive mountains. To get there we drive the F821 - one of the steepest and highest roads in the entire country. After a ton of switchbacks we arrive on a martian landscape so legit the Apollo...

The Road Chose Me tackles Iceland

It's always been low-key on my radar. If I knew how utterly incredible it really is, it would have been MUCH MUCH higher. I have INSANE videos and photos to share!! Hands down, not even close the most breathtaking place I've ever been. Repeatedly. -Dan

The Road Chose Me tackles Iceland

Hi All, We spent a a few weeks exploring high and low around the Westfijords, a stunning part of the country that few manage to explore. If you have more than a couple of weeks in Iceland, I highly recommend you check it out. We found dozens of wild and remote hot springs, monster waterfalls...

4 Door JLU Gutter Mount Roof Rack?

The Rhino-Rack pioneer platform is extremely well thought out and designed. I installed mine myself, and once I saw what goes into it I had absolutely zero worries of leaks, and never had any, even after 35,000miles of the worst corrugations on earth. -Dan

4 Door JLU Gutter Mount Roof Rack?

I installed the Rhino-Rack backbone on my Gladiator - it goes right through the hard top and the weight is mounted directly to the roll bar. Personally I would never do anything else - that hard top is only fiberglass (I've cut up a few of them) - and is NOT designed to hold any weight. -Dan

    Making my Jeep smaller?

I did exactly the same thing for my Africa Jeep, it was fantastic. I also screwed a "pull handle" on the inside of the tailgate so I can easily pull it closed from inside. It's a bit of a dance to get the glass down and then pull it closed - a bit more paracord onto that handle helps. -Dan

The Road Chose Me tackles Iceland

Hi Everyone, Iceland is utterly incredible, and we spent time exploring the Westfijords - a slightly more remote and less visited part of the country. The F622 is one of Iceland's most well known 4x4 tracks - literally built into the side of a mountain before dropping down below the high tide...

The Road Chose Me tackles Iceland

Hi Everyone, It's been a few years since my last global adventure - my partner Katie and I have been working hard, saving money, building a new adventure vehicle and we also had a baby girl, Aurora. It has once again been a lot of work to get to this point, and I'm again certain it will all be...

    Making my Jeep smaller?

It all depends entirely on what you mean by "Overlanding". You are talking about staying in one country, going to some VERY iconic 4x4 destinations that have very difficult trails and having access to the best parts and repair facilities on the planet. A more modified vehicle means you can do...

    Making my Jeep smaller?

How tall is your Jeep? I'd be surprised if it's taller than my Wrangler camper that is exactly 90" tall. I managed to *just* stuff it into a 20 foot container. Air down, ratchet strap the axles to compress the suspension. -Dan

    SAR JK r2.8 Cummins conversion

I'm sure there's gotta be threads out there of people putting the R2.8 into the later JKs (that came with 3.6). People must know the secret sauce to get basically all of the "Jeep" stuff to function as normal) -Dan

    SAR JK r2.8 Cummins conversion

Based on the interior your JK is a 2011 or newer. Is it a 2011 or 2012+ If it's a 2012+ it has a PWM main fan which is a very good thing. AEV will always upgrade to that fan when doing hemi swaps in the earlier JKs because it moves WAY more air and uses WAY less power. You can power it from the...

    SAR JK r2.8 Cummins conversion

Tricking the JK into thinking it has a "running" engine was quite the hassle when I tried to diesel swap one. From memory, it's all about tricking the cam position sensor and the crank position sensor. As long as those two are seeing a good signal, everything else should work (with a ton of...

Cool Jeeps You Can't Have - Mahindra of India

What years were they manufactured? One they're 15 years old I could bring one into Canada whole. Hmm. -Dan
