i'll be keeping the wheels, i probably will need to get some spacers though.
i'm planning on some 31x10.5x15 tires. probably some mud terrains from treadwright.
i'll probably just lift it a few inches then add some nice shocks.

Finally got the hood open! Took about an hour and had to take apart the grill.

the only rust i found is in the rear fenders. i think i'll just cut it out so larger tires will fit with ease.
I'm looking at swapping a nissan Turbo diesel into it. there is a 6 cylinder 3.3L out there. i just need a tranny and t-case

well, the guy decided he couldn't part with it.
so, it'll sit on the dirt lot its been sitting on for the last 10 years. i really do not understand people that would rather keep something and let it rust to death instead of letting someone else fix it up and enjoy it.

I swapped a 5mge into my 85 yota about 6 years ago. everything went really easy until i got to the wiring. i tried wiring it exactly like toyota did. i ended up just using standard relays and built my own wiring harness. i ended up frying 2 ecu's with the stock wiring harness.

drove home from Montana tonight (100+ miles) with the fog lights on. The wires were cool to the touch. Outside Temp was 32 degrees.:elkgrin: according to the temp gauge in my Commander.
