My AWD express van HATES washboard roads. Power steering gets hot and whines.

Could add a cooler to the return line. I'd be more concerned about shocks boiling over and dying after washboard surface runs at speed, is there a lot o steering correction going on? Curious what is leading to the buildup in the first place..

    2002 Sequoia Limited 4WD

All I can say is Wow, quite the build thread. It has been bookmarked, and a lot of your photos saved, much appreciate all the trouble you went to share so much detail. I've been trying to research Sequoias, thinking about picking on up, and came across this thread. I couldn't stop till I got...

FS: Selling my ExPo built Nissan Pathfinder in SoCal

I had a first Gen (2dr) Pathfinder a couple of decades ago (ouch, that hurt to say). Was seriously bummed by the 2nd generation Pathfinders when they came out, written off as another truck turned 'grocery getter' tall station wagon. But I have to say you have a really nice build, looks very...

    DadVan build: 05 excursion

My 2008 "Sequndra TRD Pro" on Bring a Trailer

Not to jump on the band wagon, but that is the only Sequoia of that generation I have seen that I'd take a second look at. Well done, and good luck with your sale sir..

    Disco isn't dead... not yet.

Not from the factory, they weren't fitted until '97. My '96 Disco didn't have one.. And my '95 D-90 didn't.. TSB's issued in '96 were still spec'ing the installation of the 'oil feed disc'.. Here is the Text of the Spline Wear TSB issues by Land Rover: "Gearbox Mainshaft Spline Wear Issue 2...

    Anyone Built/Running a 3rd Gen Ford Expedition?

No Doubt GM has cornered the market so to speak, sales of the Tahoe and Suburban are exponentially higher than the Expedition and Expedition EL/Max without a doubt. I'm surprised Ford no longer offered the V8 in the Expeditions as either a base or optional engine. I know some don't like...

    Anyone Built/Running a 3rd Gen Ford Expedition?

Surprises me as many Suburban/Tahoe Builds as there are that no one has build a 3rd Gen Expedition yet. Seems like the wheel well shape is better/more open than the GM's when it comes to fitting tires. I've seen some lifted ones that look pretty good, but would love to hear more about people...

    Disco isn't dead... not yet.

So not sure of your background, but there is a very well known, documented issue with the output shaft of the transmission/input gear of the transfer case, and it usually manifests itself as a whine at speed. I've been through it with a '96 Discovery, so I have first hand experience. There is...

    Anyone Built/Running a 3rd Gen Ford Expedition?

Here is a thread of photos of lifted 3rd Gen Expeditions, some on 33's, some on 34's, a few on 35's. But still nothing really about trucks outfitted to, and going offroad. Anyone know of any builds around other than Adventure Driven's?

    Anyone Built/Running a 3rd Gen Ford Expedition?

Other than than Seth and Kande over at Adventure Driven (http://www.adventuredriven.com/ford-expedition)? (Now for Sale ) "expedition' is a tough term to search on around here.. Google is only slightly more helpful.. But it doesn't seem like the 3rd Gen Expedition has seen much coverage over...
