I guess my misunderstanding comes from looking at a teardrop style trailer made by a small/family business that uses an all aluminum frame, an all aluminum cage for the box, aluminum floor, skinned in aluminum cost so much less than another small business that produces the same size trailer...
I think the markup on all of these US made top of the line off road teardrop style trailers must be astronmical. Moby1 seems ridiculously priced, Blue Ridge BRX1 seems heavily priced as well, Oregon Trailer TerraDrop with no A/C goes down the same path. After doing quite a bit of research some...

I just moved to South Texas from Phoenix, AZ about 2.5 years ago. Whole different type of hot down here. The temps with the added high humidity make A/C an absolute must for me.
The whole Air Conditioning unit fell off of the roof of your unit? How rough of a road were you on for it to do that. I plan to use the trailer I purchase on mostly beach surfaces, but it does get very rutted at times.
I did look at them. I think they have a wood cabin frame which wont do too well in the extreme humidity of South Texas. I want something with an aluminum cabin frame that will also support a top mounted A/C unit.
I really like the look of the BRX1. Its one that is on the top of my still shopping list. One thing that is definitely important to me is the onboard A/C and a shower.
I did look at the moby1 but while I was researching came across some threads and videos of them having problems with water leaks. Not sure if this has been resolved. I really like the VRV but I do not see a water storage tank or a portable shower and these are a must for me to rinse off...
The sand is sometimes very rutted and hard so I think an offroad one would be best. Also, the beach goes on for 50 miles with no services so getting buried up to the axle would be no good.
I am doing research on buying a new offroad camper trailer and I have to say I am very excited. This will be used for driving down the beaches and camping while surf fishing in South Texas in the gulf. I have been looking at the VRV Flyer https://teardropsbyvrv.com/ and the Expedition BRX1...
