I picked up my OVS Nomadic 4 yesterday. Haven't had a chance to install it yet, just leafed through the instructions. First impression, it's a pretty much identical clone of Smittybilt XL. The only difference is the metal floor. I wish the instructions were a little bit clearer on the install...
For those of us without a hangar, does anyone have a suggestion for a cover? The pollen here is nuts. My trailer turned green.
Also, how do you all secure the trailer? Standard lock in the trailer tongue?
Great to hear! I’m ordering the tent and the awning. Sales person convinced me it was a better value. 4 year warranty vs smittybilts 1 year too.

Hah “you’ll become a better driver cause you’ll never want to handwinch again”.
Tirfor or a power puller are around $300. Winch, bumper, suspension upgrades are way more.

Went to order a Smittybilt Overlander XL and turns out that our preferred store doens't sell them anymore. Instead they are now recommending Overland Vehicle Systems (OVS) tents. When I asked why, they said that both Smittybilt and OVS tents are made in the same factory but OVS is a better...
Did you get the cable or synthetic version? I’ve been eyeing it for a couple of years. I don’t want a vehicle mounted winch.

What do you have in mind, i'm curious. I like someone elses idea with Yakima backswing. Easy to put together with off the shelf components but not as...
Thanks for your thoughs. If you position the tank as far back as possible I believe the physics works in our advantage and actually lightens the tongue, so that's a positive. In terms of ground clearance, you're absolutely right. The scout has massive 27" or so from the ground to the hitch...
Does anyone have any pictures of how the tank can be mounted under the trailer? I have a decent grasp on the heating/pump basics but no clue how to mount the tank.
My trailer tongue reinforcements have been stuck in Canadian customs since march 28th now.
Since I've got nothing to outside of work, I'm idly wondering about creature comforts on the trailer. Specifically a water tank (not scout pictured):
I have a fairly decent understanding of venting and...
