Fair point. Anyway, this is just me procrastinating. Have all the gear ready to go; there are a few places I know that are snow free but would be irresponsible to go right now. So just procrastinating and dreaming of a time I can actually go camping with the fam.
Gotcha thanks. At this point, I'm just gonna wing it (when the situation improves a bit) with a fridge I'm eyeing. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit. Interesting that SB claims their fridge is 52 qt and yours is 40qt but required some "finesse" :)
@ebrabaek sorry to bring back this post from way back. still looking at fridges -- is smittybuilt arct2789 supposed to be a dropin?
According to https://www.quadratec.com/products/96010_4000_07.htm it's 30in x 23in x 15in which wouldn't fit.
SB Arctic is supposed to be a copy of Indel B TB51A...
That's good to know. It seems like there are a handful of compressors on the market, but the assembly quality varies. There are a number of cheap fridges on amazon but they suffer from quality issues -- much like SB Arctic.
If i may ask -- do you pack your fruits/vegies/produce into the fridge...
That’s pretty cool. I wonder what the shelf life is with no desiccant packets. It’ll probably last a camping season a figure. Great idea. Could do the same with pasta or dehydrated potatoes instead of rice.

Yours was the inspiration for me asking this question. I don’t want to have the fridge in the vehicle I’d like the fridge to live in the trailer full time if I can. Just trying to figure out if the fridge around this size would work out for a family of 4..

Thoughts on having a fridge in the genny compartment? Family of 4 here, not sure how to estimate our needs.
This seems like it would fit perfectly: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MYVYYGR/ref=psdc_15735671_t3_B07G132X2F?th=1
Fascinating!
Wikipedia lists all options (self primed, external fuel and a handpump): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svea_123
Are people still using these? I've never seen one before, I mainly use pressurized cartridges.
Looking for a fridge suggestion. Other than the Smittybuilt Arctic fridge and the ebrabaek's engel marine are there any other fridges that fit in the genny compartment? I'd like to keep the main compartment for the kids' stuff.
I'm making my way through the thread (about 40 pages left), I found the SB installation instructions for the trailer tongue reinforcement. I misunderstood originally how the reinforcement is to be done, after looking at the instructions, the plates will go where the pink lines are:
I suspect I might be looking at the wrong spot. This is the point that failed a few posts up in the thread, is that where the plates go?
This is the frame directly behind it. That's what I meant about the wiring:
Howdy everyone. We just acquired a 2017 Scout. The original owner only had it out a few times. It's in pretty good condition. I like the additional storage for above the fender and the propane bottle holders that I've seen on here. I'll go through the thread in due time, but is there anything I...
The bayou wok is 17": https://www.amazon.com/Bayou-Classic-7488-Campfire-Griddle/dp/B0000BXHL6/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=bayou+iron+cast+wok&qid=1582922001&sr=8-10
There are multiple posts on this forum about making it into a "skottle". I haven't seen any smaller setups though.
I brought one over from Sydney when I visited last year. Light weight and really nice. Unfortunately it turns out I didn't season it properly, so now it's rusting in spots. Any advice for remediation?
It looks like they bought a bayou wok and added a nice burner

I did something similar and it cost me $60. 25 for the wok, 20 for the burner and 15 for legs and other...
