Post your favorite classic cool rig that is now worth too much to enjoy?

I see the logic from both sides of the argument. Either way, just use the vehicle and enjoy it. I am building my Santana/Defender 110 at a shop that is doing frame off restorations of Defenders. Unfortunately, the 100k+ price tag is actually justified. New frame, doors, top, tub, every nut...

    L322 Overlanding Build and Adventures

@Brav , what size tires are your 33s? Do they rub? Nice pics. Our LR3 has 165k miles and we r looking to replace. Its my wife's DD and we were looking for an LR4, but I am partial to Range Rovers. Have always loved the L322 and trying to convince her she doesnt need the 3rd row. My P38 has been...

    Snow Peak Addiction

Wow. Serious open fire cooking. Problem with West coast is that open fires are not allowed almost anywhere, even charcoal can be a problem. But I really want to cook more with charcoal. I've been spoiled with propane and the convenience. My Weber Q 1000 is predictable and cooks a mean steak.

    why skottle?

@laxtoy , please keep posting your comments and builds. Its awesome to see how you constructed it and that it works well. You pieced it together for like 10% of tembo tusk. That being said, as a consumer we tend to pay a premium for convenience and packaging so for some that is worth it. Thanks...

    Spices

I found this Mobile Foodie Survival Kit to be the best and most compact and comprehensive kit out there. While it is a bit pricey, it is very convenient and can be refilled any time. Each spice jar screws into the one above. Only issue ive had is that you need to be careful when unscrewing them...

    2020 Defender Spy Shots....

The Defender in the states are only a prized possession due to the simple law of supply and demand. Only 500 110s and 1500 90s imported over 3 years. Exclusivity drives prices through the roof. The vast majority of the ones on the street in the US were imported by individuals. In Europe or...

    1985 Land Rover 110 RHD 3 Door

Seems reasonable. Get some pics of interior and rust areas. Good price considering the work and new parts put in. Im dropping a 300tdi into my santana/defender along with tons of mods and full custom suspension. The $1000s add up very quickly!

LR3 ARB LINX or other systems

I really like he look and idea of the Linx but do worry about its complexity. I will have front, back and possibly side lighs, front and rear ARB lockers and LED string lights but may keep it more analog like that other link above. I'm running old-school diesel and it only takes 2 wires to run...

    Snow Peak Addiction

I may be looking for a set too. Can the straps hold legs in the open space inside an empty IGT for storage? Trying to plan my build-out. Thinking of standing the IGT 4 and side table on their side and build a carpeted space one inch wide to slide them into. A drawer or silding platform to...

    Snow Peak Addiction

Is the CK-070 replacing the CK-160 double bbq box? I brought the oven in hopes of using it with the double bbq box like i saw in a Drfta video. But it seems to be sold out and one website said discontinued by manufacturer. Advantages of new 'lounge' bbq is the lid for transport and also looks...

    Snow Peak Addiction

I tested out the Baja burner with propane adapter to use Coleman style 1lb tanks and it worked great. Massive flame from the burner. I was also surprised at how heavy the burner is. I used it at the Land Rover Western National Rally last month since I was just cooking for myself. The oven is...

    Snow Peak Addiction

I took advantage of the moosjaw and campsaver sales last month to start my addiction. As mentioned, I plan to build out the back of the 110 defender to house everything. I ordered a standing height IGT4 with corner table, side table, baja burner, oven, large hozuki with rechargeable battery...

Bringing Sexy Back. AKA 93' LWB RRC

Nice work. Thought about Dynamat for sound and heat? Im lining the defender everywhere with it. Dynamat knockoff and foam over it makes a huge difference in the doors.

    LR3/4 Elec Power Management Charger/Dual Batt/Solar Suggestions

Solar setup is cool but I prefer a detachable panel. I dont want to have to park my truck in the sun to get adequate amps. Plus the monocrystalline panels dont work well with any shadows. I have a Schumacher SC1359 since it has an AGM specific function and quick charger functionally. I...

Oh my, what have I done?

Cool find! Im in the middle of my Santana build. The normally aspirated 2.5 won't get u anywhere quickly with only 68hp! but enjoy it and have fun. Santanas dont get the love they deserve!

    Santana/Defender 110 Overland Build Cummins R2.8

We had to rework the front clip a bit for mounting the AC and for fitting the radiator. Bought and upgraded intercooler which is claimed to increase capacity by 30%.
