After having expedition one on my fj cruiser, I would rather bolt a poo covered log onto the back of my truck and lick it daily. Don't know if that tells you how strongly I feel.
Looking at places to mount my HAM radio, I decided under the rear seats would be the most out of the way place possible. I did not want to drill into my new truck, so the bracket I made bolts to one of the rear seat brackets. Going to run the power cables next weekend and mount the headunit, but...
I saw this on instagram, it looks really good. That is a hard space to use, so this bin should really be nice. I am thinking about ordering 2 for my set up!
Any thought on a cutting board for the top of the drawer lip? I feel like that would be useful in so many ways!
I leave them on just to make it harder for my wheels and tires to walk away at night... I will pre-remove them before going to get tires rotated, etc. Even with the right tool, its a job to remove all those bolts!!!
I would agree with @TheDECKEDGuy . If you have a helping hand (they are not super heavy, but are large), it would go even faster. I bet I could get mine out in 15 minutes flat, maybe 20 to put back in.
@marshal Any feedback on the suspension with the fox shocks? How are you dealing with the shafts and salt? It was my understanding they may not hold up, but I might be thinking of another of thurens options!
Also added the AEV trim rims... I know AEV sets themselves in the market as a premium product, but these are really overpriced for what they are (at least based on my looking at them. I do love the way they look!
Finally got around to installing my purple cranium differential armor. I was on the fence about these vs new diff covers, but a buddy picked up a set of these for his truck, and they will be more than tough enough for me. Of note, the "arms" are through welded through the baseplate, so they...
Well. Had a few free minutes this weekend (hard to find recently with getting the dog ready for the season, and getting the house baby ready.
I have the wiring and loom on order for the first round of accessories. Need to get some heat shrink.
I used the spod brand 90 degree bracket, and...
Not to point out the obvious choice (toyota fan, need 3 rows, would like a solid rear axle), but what about a 4runner or landcruiser? Used Cruisers with great history and relatively low mileage are getting reasonable
That sounds ideal, but I'm having a hard time visualizing... got a pic?
Edit - I just looked at some pictures, looks like the 2019s may have had some layout changes, I have almost no room between the headlight and the fuse box (4" or so? ). Let me know if I'm not seeing this right!
I have the AT3W's in 37x12.5r17 (so basically exactly the same size as you are looking at). They are quieter than my old K02's, and better in the rain. Snow testing will be coming up, but so far, I love them. My K02's quickly got loud, but I have seen no such reports for the AT3W's.
