Thanks for the list @icedragonmx, very helpful. My father got me a katanboy 1000, so I'm covered there. No snatch blocks for you? So you normally did single line pulls with the X?
Thanks icedragonmx. In BC, our provincial insurer typically pays out the market value of the vehicle..your rates do go up of course. Hopefully your insurance takes care of you as well. Xterras are becoming rarer and clean pro4x even more so.
What other equipment do you have in addition to the...
Aww man. That sucks. I’m very worried about water crossings.. how did you make it on the way in, but not out? Adventure for sure, hope the insurance comes through.
One question I got is about the power puller. How do you like it and why not a powered winch? Would it have made an difference in...
Interesting. So this is just the reflector? You still need the housing and the bulbs? What’s the advantage over LEDs?
Looking forward to your reviews.

But is it overlanding enough? I kid, I kid. It's cross my mind. I'm scottle curious, that's all. I like the idea of the legs for campfire cooking. Burner would still be necessary for a skillet.
I'm calling this "budget scottle"
17" cast iron griddle (legs removable) and a dual fuel burner. Advantage here that griddle can be either used as is in a fire, on top of a burner, or with legs removed on top of a burner. Not as slick as a scottle but $90 it's about half the price of the...
Are there any low profile propane burners you can recommend? I’m trying to reproduce this setup with a cheap cast iron wok. How many BTUs is skottle burner?

That's fair. The new XL has a bigger fill hole. I'm sure there's an expected lifetime for soft plastics..I'm sure they tested it and found it reasonbly robust.
BJ stuff is very expensive.. I'm just thinking, why get the offroad lights, that I'd use 1% of the time, vs upgrading stock headlights.. sorry just thinking out loud.
That's hilarious. Looking forward to more reports.
What are your experiences with Helio? I'm seeing very mixed reviews online. Can it be filled 3/4 full and stuck into a crevasse somewhere in the vehicle or is it going to get destroyed?
It does not. In fact, the shower handle attaches to another outlet on the unit. It would've been great to just cary the shower/pump assembly with the larger reliance jugs, no such luck though.
It may still be a nice option for rinsing/washing.
I have the same tire as op, at about 8k miles. Recently they’ve gotten loud although I suspect it may be a bad wheel bearing. Rotation hasn’t helped. These have been amazing off-road tho.

Thanks for pointing out harddigg cases. I gather they are used a lot in US military so there's a lot of used options on ebay. If it works the military it'll surely work for me!
That’s a nice little unit. Although it seems on par with pocket power banks. If my math is correct it’s 12.5 amp hours at 12v. Not much.
