I would budget more than $25 for the fuses, etc. to do it "right", but those are not items included in the National Luna kit either, so I think your math is probably correct.
Incidentally, for (relatively) inexpensive thick cabling, I chop up jumper cables. Autozone had 20ft 2-gauge cables...
Yes, on the display/interface there is a manual "Link" button, just like with the NL kit. The intention is to use it for self-jumping or running high-current applications like a winch.
There's a write-up on my installation in my build thread (see sig), but there's a mess of pictures with some...
Thanks for the Kind words.
For my favorite ExPo threads, I use the "Subscribe" tool under "Thread Tools" at the top of the page.
You can either subscribe with email notification and get updates on your set interval, or you can select the "No Email" option which is sort of like a bookmark that...
I agree a black cover is probably not a good idea. When I was making reflectix panels for my van I had some left over, so I made a cover that slips over the top of my 43qt Edgestar.
It's always that top that I notice gets really warm in the sun, and adding the reflectix cover has definitely...
Ozarker, one of the reasons many of us choose the Astro/Safari platform is for the mechanical similarity to the S10/S15/Blazer/Jimmy platform.
In this case, what ihatemybike is referring to is that the 2-speed (2Hi, 4Hi, 4Lo) transfer case from the aforementioned S10/S15/Blazer/Jimmy's will...

No affiliation, etc.
Looks like a "fixer" model to me. See the ad for pictures, but it looks like the forward "support" board for the pop-top needs immediate attention.

In honor of Doug Adams' "Increasingly Inaccurately Named Hitchhiker's Guide Trilogy" (in five books), I dub your website:
The Increasingly Inaccurately Named Travel Website.
No truck, One Guy. ;)
Looks great! Is that from DiscountVanTruck.com or a different manufacturer?
If not DVT, please share the name as there are too few offerings for sofas that I'm aware of!
Weird. Maybe it's just because of how the smog laws work here in California (you have to swap EVERYTHING emissions related from the donor to the recipient in order to be legal, including the ECU), but when we do swaps out here, we always just assume you'll swap the ECU and entire wiring...
Mike, I forwarded this to another friend in Mira Mesa who I think was having some trouble with the 3-way in his RV, but he's actually out RV-ing this week, so he may not process the email until next week.
Don't know where you're planning on buying yours, but for about the same price as I see that kit going for in a few places, I got the Westin/T-Maxx kit:

It has a battery monitor like the more expensive National Luna stuff, but is definitely a bit...
I know I've seen at least a couple. I think Ursa Minor even had a used one listed for sale on their site at some point.
Some searching for "ecamper" on ElementOwnersClub.com reveals some awesome Elements.
EDIT: Here's one that was local to me. 2" lift, rolled fenders, eCamper. Awesome...
I only mention this because you indicated "perhaps 4WD later", but it is my understanding that Dodge vans are MUCH more difficult to convert to 4WD than the other domestic full-size vans.
You may want to cross-post this to the Camper Vans forum and let the full-size experts there give their take.
I've bought several from DO. Be advised that recently they got hammered for selling non-CARB approved cans to Californians, so their newest batch of cans are stamped "NOT FOR FUEL USE" - basically they're selling them as "replicas" or for water cans.
Not sure what the legal implications of...
OK, just checked out the website again, I'd seen it before but they didn't used to have pricing up.
That price seems pretty good for a full interior kit if you don't get murdered on shipping. I like their cabinetry and the narrower bed probably works for a single just fine.
Another thing to...
