Tires are holding up well. They perform great in the rain, we've had quite a bit the last few months for Southern CA. Louder than KO2 but I am loving the more aggressive look.
Time to spend some money on trucky.
Considerations:
Upgrade speakers and add a little 8 inch sub under the seat...
I haven't seen the hood up argument in years. It used to be the go to safety precaution when it was rock crawling and metal winch lines. Once the synthetic ropes in winches came around the hood up argument disappeared.
Been following this on IG. Scary stuff. Makes me want to re evaluate my recovery gear, I think my recovery gear is all heavy metal shackles and a super old recovery line which has been used many many times in the desert. I realize the point of the video isn't equipment failure but human error...
99% sure the Tremor comes with the extended range tank which is 36 gallons. I have one in my truck. Hurts to fill it up, especially with CA gas prices. But I get 500+ miles and it lasts me 2.5-3 weeks if I am just doing my normal commute.
X2 for driving them both. They are true competition to each other, which I am a big fan of. I personally like the looks of the tremor more if the rake is fixed and cant stand the front facia of the ZR2. The 3.5 EB in the Tremor is a pretty awesome engine and is hard to beat but the diesel in the...
Nice rig, congrats on finding it. I always liked the LX over the GX. Just classier in every way and the demand for them isnt there compared to the GX. I went down the GX/LX road before I bought my truck. It's crazy the prices for aftermarket parts. 2k+ for a little bit of metal for the front...
$100 says there is a bronco group on Facebook with plenty of members and activity. I have been decreasing my time on EP for Facebook groups because there is more information and more posts and it's all specific to "x" group. My Facebook now is like the F150 group, F150 overland group and Raptor...
That's interesting, never thought of it like that. Mine is 2.5 and the other is 6 months so I guess in a few more years the 2.5 YO would think its a fort and think its cool lol
All of your points are valid. Not much of a cool guy factor with a tent tho, so I assume that's why 90% of the time a RTT is more popular.
The main reason I use my RTT over a ground tent is simple, rocks. I do mostly desert camping. After 10+ years of going to anza borregoI have found 4 spots...
Have a good trip, not in the market for any of that but maybe reach out to Basils Garage in Vista. They may be interested? They do a lot of flatbed and baja surf inspired builds.
Any interest in getting aluminum pre cut, you assemble and add insulaton? My buddy Michaelbone_ on instagram had a local place CNC cut all of his aluminum panels and then he assembled it in his garage. Smaller than what you are looking to do but you get the idea. Would depend on your fab skills...
"Unfortunately, that was about it because I thought traveling with newborns/toddlers would be easy before having them."
LOL, isn't that the truth. I feel this to my core. Best of luck selling. Awesome truck!
I have a knock off trasharoo from Amazon and a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. I use both on and off. They both work well and are cheap. I tend to use the bag for fire wood and then the bucket for trash.
So with your XLT, did it not come with an overhead console? Why did you originally buy this?
Asking because I am always in the market for F150 stuff, including your 2.5s you posted lol. I've wanted to add an overhead console to my STX, but to my knowledge, you cant add one without changing the...
