Ironman4x4 Fridge Freezer 4-year update
'Just an update. We've had our Ironman4x4 50L fridge/freezer for just over 4 years now, and we've had perfect performance. It cost over $400 including the cover and a longer DC cord from Truckfridge.com (the same units under a different brand), but we...
We're possibly looking for a newer model Jeep JK Rubicon 4-door and would appreciate any suggestions as to what models and or engine/trans combinations to avoid.
We are Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 owners, and once you see how over-engineered and well-built they are, it is very hard to transition...
What about giving us something that has a retro look such as Dodge did with the Challenger AND with engine and drivetrain designs that we want? Wouldn't it be great for Ford to produce a better vehicle than the Jeep and the FJ Cruiser at a price the 49% could afford? It sure would be nice to...
Here are some good threads that we like regarding Silverado buildups:

The top Chevy/GMC stolen model is a 1999, this year. Next year, it will most likely be the 2000 Chevy/GMC based on demand for stolen parts. The wiring harnesses and anti-theft systems are very similar on these models as well.
NEWS FLASH!
ZODI is redesigning their Hot Vent HP tent heaters http://www.zodi.com/Consumer/zodihotventhp.html . This is what we wanted initially. The price will be around $250, and they make a bulk tank adapter so you can hook them up to your larger propane tanks. I'm told it will come with...
I found the Propex HS2000 advertised at http://www.westyventures.com/propex.html for $740US. It does pay to shop around. I wonder what the price difference is due to regarding the ones sold through Adventure Trailers?
What would be the ideal setup for use with a RTT with an annex room or a...
Dittos for most of your points. It's the occasional trip to the city or simply parking in a Walmart parking lot that you have to worry about. Recently, there have been some break ins into vehicles while parked in the mountains. Usually, the thieves hit the vehicles during hunting and fishing...
The latest "10 most stolen vehicles" includes trucks from Chevrolet, Dodge, and Ford. The 1999 Chevrolet, the 2004 Dodge and 2006 Ford full-size trucks are also on the list. The Chevy/GMC model years from 1996-2006 are almost identical, and many of the Dodge and Ford trucks seem very similar...
'Interesting video. I like the old 70-72? F-100! We have Auburn LSDs in our Toyota FJ40 and a stock LSD in the rear of our full-size Chevrolet, and they don't behave like the trucks in the video. When one wheel slips, the other wheel kicks in, or rather, starts turning.
With our Land...
Thanks for the info. I dread taking apart the headliner and trim in order to wire the lights up. I haven't done it yet, so maybe it won't be that difficult. I'm considering mounting an antenna there, but most antenna cables that I use are fairly thick in diameter and would be difficult to run...
We're about worried about hitting the lights or whatever we mount on the upper part of the mount. I guess that's the concern with anything you mount above the cab. How do your lights perform mounted in that position? Does the top of the cab limit the lights' forward projection?
