It does, but it lacks a chimney. It seems it is a new grill/oven. At the top under the lid there is a grill grate. Behind the door is a grill rack. Probably charcoal in the middle somewhere. Could be cool somewhat combining the BBQ box and oven.....

That is very nice. Cool setup and like the enamelware. What are the stacking shelves under the IGT4 frame? The wok burner is something that has been on my list for years now. Maybe someday  I love looking at all the setups. Perhaps I am wrong but I don't think there was anything like...

Don't plan on selling these. I would never pass my own Quality Control :) I plan to make another top/lid this weekend. I am still pondering on the best construction of the top. Happy to help anyone with how I made the set or measurements though (y)

In short .... YES A little more elaborate: "You are right, no sane person would do this or want to, there are much easier solutions :D" As you state, with the top on you can't fold the box. It could very well be that a flip up lid would be easier (although I don't know yet how that would work)...

Prototype with the lid Thoughts so far: - it is fun to do but it is a lot of work without templates or a jig of some sort (and a woodworking shop with lots of tools :)) - the top is now solid wood with hardwood trim, which is nice but makes it a bit heavy. I might make a skeleton version next...

No, that is a different size. I think we are looking at a separate lid to be released? Edit: or is it the small box in the picture? Edit2: I think it is the small box :) I don't have one but I see this box has only two 'dents' in the corner and the large has three (y) It will not be a tight...

3 sets of sliders done and cut the little wooden lips to slot into the cutouts in the box. Of cours this is not a standard size hole, so it took quite a bit of sanding to get it to fit neatly :(. The magnets came in, so it is time to assemble the sliders. I still need to cut a little notch to...

I got the three sets of struts done yesterday. I clamped the six pieces together and tried to shape them as one. Still want to rub them down with sandpaper a bit more but the shape is OK. Not perfect but close enough for an amateur ;) I bought some aluminum L-profiles instead of stainless...

OK cool, I have 3 stacking boxes, so two will have a normal sliding top and one will have a double top/table :D At least one of the lids will be a cutting board. The basis is pretty straight forward. Two wooden struts, held in place by small magnets and a small lip for the two cut-outs in each...

I think I see enough of the construction to have a go at one. I think what looks like a foldout is actually two tops in one set of rails.

Now why did you have to post something like that? That is going to haunt me in my dreams now :p Ideally you would still be able to use the clips for the extension table..... We need to get our DIY on ......

Not the answer you are looking for, but when you skip the adapters and just use gas canisters the GS-220 is excellent at simmering .....

I am an open fire enthousiast so I only use a gas grill when open fire is not permitted. The snow peak grill is more a gas griddle than a grill/BBQ in my humble opinion. As a griddle it works well, puts a nice sear on the meat and is easy to clean as is advocated by Snowpeak. I would like to...

Yes it does. You can also cover it with the lid for the single stainless box when not in use. Pretty neat :) Lennart

What a pitty you didn't like it. I have had mine since feb 2009 and it is still going strong. What was it that disappointed you?

I have the GS-220 but I think you are talking about the GS-230. The GS-220 is the 'regular' version, without liquid mode. I have used it a lot and can't really fault it. The GS-230 should be comparable, but with potentially more power but a little bit harder to run in simmer (low) mode.
