Slick build, I love the bed and I would not sweat the $20k bed, that thing will last many trucks. Even if you buy a new chassis cab work truck and throw the $20k bed on it, you are still less than the stock bed King Ranch loaded, and that has $30k of crap that nobody needs.

I would guess it had to do with the strength that the extrusion supplies to the piece that’s at 90 degrees to any force applied.
Fiberglass and other fibers like carbon are very strong in tension, but the bond between the fiberglass panels and the foam is fairly weak compared.

Hopefully an app for your phone instead of making you buy their display. Seems pretty cool, but potentially problematic with important stuff like lockers( you can live without the 15 different types of lights on your roof if there is a glitch)

I like it! Motion windows (Peninsula Glass) if you want a custom size, old school aluminum and glass window with screens. They can do double or single pane. I went with square corners, but would go with a radius next build. Stronger because they weld the comers, but more importantly to me...no...

Nice build, I went thru a similar process on my 8’ cabover.
Do you have any better pics of the jacks mounts and camper/truck clamps? I’m planning on building a new bed next spring and will make a better jack/tiedown system

That paint sounds like the stuff we used in sub bilges, that stuff was poly amide (sp?) and super durable, can’t recall if it was two part
