If they didn't tear the engine down before denying the warranty then just hire an attorney to send them a letter. Probably no need to sue but the attorney will at least get their attention. Denying a claim without fully investigating can be construed as "Bad Faith" on their part. They're...
Yes when I do it again that’s the way I’ll go. There’s a bit of a climb coming out at Glenn Springs where the road is a bit rough but nothing you can’t handle after the rest of Black Gap Rd.
It might be helpful to post where you're at in case someone is close to you. I have a Gordigear Explorer Plus with Annex that's less than a year old. The annex was used for 3 days at ExPo West last month but that was it. Tent has about 10 days in it and is located in Central TX.
We camped at the primitive sites to avoid the crowds. At the end of Sept you should be able to find them open. Unfortunately I don't believe you can reserve those in advance you'll just need to stop in at the Visitor's Center and put your name on it. Pick 2 or 3 in the general area in case...
The Hitchgate uses a wedge lock to get around the swaying and also is open at the rear of the receiver so you could install a bike rack as well. They have different models that are less expensive so you might want to reach out to them and see what they have at what price. You might be...
I'd never heard of the Fire Disc until I read this thread then saw a stack for sale at Buc-ees today in New Braunfels, TX. WAY more money than I want to spend on something like that but does look like it'd do the trick (as long as you weren't packing it somewhere).
Finished wiring (what there is) yesterday and plugged everything in for a test run. Currently I'm running off the trucks AC inverter in the back seat while driving then switching to the temp (yep still running that) house battery when it's stopped. I simply ran the DC plug wire through the...
I can still use the left side, which is what I wanted, and I don't really want to pack anything around the side of the fridge that would reduce air circulation so I think leaving them both in will work for now.
One more item off the check list today (well mostly). After camping on the way to, and at, Overland Expo West 2018 we decided a fridge/freezer was the next major purchase that needed made. I'm heading out for the Idaho Backcountry Discovery Route trip next month and dealing with a cooler and...
My '05 F250 was stolen in San Antonio right outside my wife's office building. Didn't really care about the truck other than it was paid off but it had a lot of my gear inside. That was in 2012 and I actually saw it driving around a month or so ago as I was heading into a store. By the time I...
I use the strap wrench just to get them snug, especially the water cans, as they tend to leak around the threads if they're tipped on the side.
The main reason I use them is that I have can holders off of MRAPs that they fit and nothing else will.
That's a military style Gas can (red strap).
I just use a strap wrench on mine. Not quite as quick and easy as that wrench but I'm sure it's a whole lot cheaper and I already carry it.
Yes replacing the seals would work. It’s cheaper than trying to get the correct cans out of Canada. You might be able to buy a sheet of Viton and just cut the seals yourself too. That would be less as well.
