Oh I certainly wouldn't give advise on finances. You must be set dropping $10K (min) on a shop retrofitted 1Uzfe swap into a vehicle when complete will net you $6K max. Passion! There is no headroom (yet) in Monteros. Its not like dropping a $10K swap into an early 80 series or 60 series...

Any non stock swap will require deep pockets when taken to a mechanic. Do you have deep pockets?

If you plan to put it back on the road, some insurance companies won't insure it with a salvage title, and of course some will. Just be aware of that.
