Thanks for the input. If the Foxwing is positioned correctly on the side of the camper it will be able to seal tight to the rear?
Nice rig!

Time to start thinking about an awning for my Alaskan 8' cabover. I like the idea of the foxwing, but wonder if a 8' box awning on the side and a smaller above the door would be better. The box awning would be able to seal tight against the rear, keeping rain out when entering and exiting in the...
Thanks for the links above -the descriptions of the cans from the two sites is almost verbatim, a bit strange.
$50 from Lexington Container seems like the best bet??

That's cool!! the problem I see with older expensive vehicles(not saying it's not worth it) is that many people don't have 30-40k laying around, and it's too old for a loan from most banks(10 year max)
I would love to have it.

I didn't see it myself, but the guy that did said that roof was sagging and leaking in several spot. One of the corner Jacks ripped out at one point, I assume due to rot.
Even Matt from Hallmark suggested I look the roof over carefully as they leak if not properly maintained(older rubber style)...
This one is not going to work out for me, lots of soft spots and a bad roof.
Big thanks to a fellow expo member that saved me 15 hrs of driving
On the plus side the interior is real nice with tons of lights etc. Might be a good project if you got it for a good price

Will do, I have a guy checking it out for me now, hopefully he can give it a go/no go before I make the trek.
PS the expo community is pretty cool when a guy you never met offers up his time to help keep me from making a trip if it's junk

Are you close by? I wouldn't mind someone taking a look at it, it's a 15 hour round trip for me. The guy says it's in great shape(isn't everything on CL?) and ready to go except it need a water pump and there is a small leak where the canvas attaches to the cabover when the tops up.

The owner didn't know what year it was, he never used it. His neighbor bought it new about ten years ago, looks older than that, but he says it's in great shape, I gave him a deposit site unseen, figured it wouldn't last.
