Ram 2500 over GVW with a FWC Hawk!

I would not even give it a second thought, 400# over is nothing for a HD truck. Not saying I agree with it, but you see dopes with close to 1000 over on Toyotas. I would be interested in knowing what you carry, that's a pretty light camper, you must have 1200# of "stuff" Sent from my Passport...

Rubber mat between the camper and truck?

Most do recommend a rubber mat, pretty much anything will keep it from sliding around. The mat will get wet, so if the bottom of the camper is really plywood, you will want to shim it up a bit to allow the camper to dry out Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk 2

Nice!!, I really screwed up when one of these showed up for sale local and cheap, like new too. I had just bought a truck camper so I passed. Yours is nicer, this one didn't have the pullout kitchen Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk 2

Our FWC Hawk - on shakedown

Sounds like you had a good time. I hear you about knocking yourself out, I have been building an Alaskan in my garage for a while now, there are times when the lower section is not under the upper half (upper half is on temp supports) which is right at head banging level, twice last winter I...

New Truck Purchase Opinions Requested - Tundra vs Power Wagon vs 2500 Gas

Nice choice, I think you will be happy. What state are you in? That's a good price.I'm in CT, I paid about that for my '12 Ram 2500 4x4 crew cab used with 10k on the odo back in '12. The new sticker was around 46k I think. The price I paid induced a bumper to bumper warranty with towing and...

    Sprinter openable rear window options

Not to derail the thread, but Mike- what did you think of the quality of the Motion windows. It's a little late, as I am driving to the FedEx freight tomorrow to pick up the 8 motion custom windows for my Alaskan build Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk 2

    Watches - ExPo Style

The nato band is real easy to adjust, the hardest part is getting the silicon band off, but that only takes a minute. I wear mine into the shower about once a week to get the saw dust of it :) Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk 2

    Watches - ExPo Style

I bought an Armourlite Isobrite black out edition, I really like it. Came with two bands, I use the Nato one. Very bright at night(T100 tritium) with nice daytime readability, if it was a perpetual calendar it would be a 10 I am failing to get pics uploaded, does Tapatalk no longer host pics...

    Drill bits!

I bought a quality complete set from McMaster Carr or MSC 20 years ago and never regretted it. Seems like I paid over $100 back then. I have a small machine/wood shop and use it all the time. I also bought spares for all the common sizes like #7 (1/4" tap) and all the most used fractional...
